Nice of you to offer the dedi for free! Here are a couple of ideas:
You could give the server to FreeVPS.org. They would make free Linux KVM VPSes available throughout the LowEnd community. @crunchbits has taken over leadership of FreeVPS.org these days.
You could give the server to me and @Crab. We would put FreeBSD on it, get some additional folks involved, and give out FreeBSD goodies to the LowEnd community.
You could give the server to me. Maybe I could get some additional folks involved, put NetBSD or OpenBSD on it, and give out Net- or Open- goodies to the LowEnd community.
You could give the server to me. Maybe, just maybe, I could get some additional folks involved, put patched original Plan 9 from Bell Labs or one of its descendants on it, but maybe not too many LowEnders would be interested.
You could give the server to the FOSSBilling.org project. FOSSBilling's @BelleNottelling could find a great use for it. An especially great use might be using the server to make a VPS provisioning back end for FOSSBilling. As of now, FOSSBilling only has shared hosting back ends, though there is work which has been done on a Proxmox back end. I think @babywhale could adapt bashvm to work behind FOSSBilling.
You could give the server to me without any specified purpose. I could try to find a good use for it, but without any promises about the schedule or about what the use might be.
These are just a few ideas. Maybe other folks have more and better ideas!?

This probably a lot of ideas to do with a server.
Just open root for a few minutes with no password. Tons of cool ideas flow in every millisecond.
What your goals ? Are you offer some pieces of it's resource here ? Or prefer to fully handle it to some trusted people here (i.e. mentioned by @Not_Oles ).
Like @Not_Oles said, you might need additional help to properly handle it if you want to share them here.
RAID1 and setup a small nextcloud instance. Even better would be if you can get the SSDs upgrade to a pair of 512 or 1T SSDs..

Indeed the leaseweb server got wiped out, but still cool to hear all the ideas, there are always some server lying around idling
Hardware is not the issue it is on the "developer" sides where the currently the issues are..
