r640 is a 1u dual socket server, 2u from the same generation would be r740

Do these take NVMe U.2 drives?
The specific configuration I noted above does not... however you can add in cables to turn this into an NVMe solution. If interested, then kindly email me and I can put together pricing for your config. We also have NVMe drives in stock. NEW and Used. NEW 1.92TB NVMe at $135/ea payment via wire for 100 or more. And can still support smaller QTY too. Just wanted to give you a price point reference.
