Impact/Subnet shared hosting is ending June 4, 2024
In case any customers didn't get this email from a couple weeks ago, I am posting it here. They didn't give very much notice unfortunately.
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an important change to the services we provide at ImpactVPS. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our technology and service offerings, we have made the strategic decision to discontinue our Shared Panel hosting service.
Service Discontinuation Date: The Shared Panel service will officially be discontinued effective 4th of June 2024. After this date, all Shared Panel hosting operations will cease, and access to the servers will be revoked.
Reason for Discontinuation: This decision comes in response to WHM/cPanel's significant pricing increases enacted several years ago. As a result, we began phasing out this product line by ceasing to accept new orders. We have now reached the point where it is necessary to completely sunset our shared hosting and reseller services to better align with our future strategic direction and continue delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Next Steps for Our Valued Customers:
Data Migration: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide direct assistance with data migration. We recommend using the "Backup Wizard" tool available in your cPanel account to perform a full backup of your data. You can access a guide on how to use this tool here . Once you have backed up your data, you can use the same tool to restore your account on a new cPanel account on another server.
Special Offer for Upgrading: If you're looking to take this opportunity to upgrade your website hosting, we recommend the powerful Ryzen VPS offerings from our sister brand, AlphaVPS. Explore their options at AlphaVPS Ryzen VPS . As a valued customer, you can use the coupon code "IMPACT-10" to receive a 10% discount for life on these services. We hope to continue supporting your hosting needs through this excellent upgrade path.
Remaining Time Transfers & Partial Refunds: If you choose to transition to AlphaVPS, we can apply a pro-rated credit for the remaining time of your Shared Panel service towards your new AlphaVPS account. Alternatively, if you decide not to continue with AlphaVPS, we will issue pro-rated refunds for any unused portion of your service as of 04/06/2024 via the original payment method used for your last invoice.
Customer Support: If you have any questions regarding this notice, please do not hesitate to reply to this email. We are here to assist you through every step of this transition.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate through this transition. We are committed to ensuring that your service remains uninterrupted and meets your expectations during this period of change.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Ah yes a solid 5 day warning... I guess better than some other closures.
that's an huge impact on their shared hosting customers! just 5 day to migrate!
Why kill the platform totally... just migrate to a new platform or raise prices... (if this is truly due to licensing cost increases)
They gave a little longer than that, the original email was sent around mid-May. But that is still not much time!
AI generated, damn!
5 days' notice is just embarrassing...
