cPanel deletes Larry RoundCube Theme

cPanel states this is due to security issues. What risks? Anyone here aware of anything?

Is anyone else having clients complaining about the theme being deleted?

Larry had it coming.

The Larry theme is no longer part of the Roundcube package and they've been trying to phase it out for a while. This is more of a Roundcube thing than a cPanel thing. When you're dealing with that much third party software it's better to try to stick with what it's developers want to do with it than to keep trying to shove things together unless you enjoy tech debt.

That said, it's not hard to install it: https://github.com/roundcube/larry (and there you can see it's barely more than abandoned)

It goes here: /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/roundcube/skins

Any reference to it being a security issue is merely a statement of "Abandoned software could present security issues that no one will care about."
