VPS/Dedi in NL - high CPU usage

Hello,

Im looking for a smaller Dedi or a VPS with dedicated cores and no "fair usage" or limits on the CPU. Other than that; 8gb + RAM, 20gb+ nvme drive and 1gbit connection that I need to be reliable but there will be little actual traffic.

Something like 4 core ryzen if VPS, or not too expensive dedi.

Would also be interested in bigger VPS or dedi, 4 core ryzen would be kind of minimum.

Also cant be hosthatch or greencloud as it will be part of the cluster and I already have those two in NL.

    You’re going to have to pay a lot for 4 dedicated Ryzen cores

    Given that you use Hosthatch already, I guess EPYC is fine?

    Anyway, check out Avoro

    Our prem VDS have dedicated cores, but not ryzen. www.microtronixdc.com

    But specs are fully dedicated and not shared.

    Does $90/year plan has four dedicated vCores?

    imo, $90/six months plan does.

    HostHatch is $12 / month in NL but your specification drops to 6.5€ - 7.5€ in DE and FR with HostBrr and Layer7. My affiliated LET aggregator gives an overview. IPv6-only is even cheaper.

    Edit: HostBrr has a fair usage policy on the CPU. Poking @Layer7 for input.

    are any of those plans within what OP asked?

    You need out of box thinking for this.
    I use 10 vCore VPS where I need 4 dedicated vCores.

    Not a bad idea..

    Also, I usually use 100% of my cores and never really had any issues with my hosting providers. I usually get a using too much bandwidth complaint before I ever get a cpu one.

    10 vCore VPS with Ryzen 7950 is perfect for cpu hungry apps
    Much faster than mini-dedi 😉

    Hello,

    We can help you with this in The Netherlands. We are currently in the process of deploying Ryzen/EPYC based hypervisors/ bare metal machines. Perhaps we can work something out? If interested, please DM.

    and in France it is the Ryzen 7950X3D? in Germany it’s either 7950 or 5950 and it’s infuriating

    Hi,

    yes

    FR = 7950X3D
    DE = 5950X

    in DE there is also 1x 7950X3D available ( simply we had no free 5950X at the time we created the offer ). But you can assume 5950X. Maybe we will anyway remove this single 7950X3D some day to avoid ongoing confusion.

    Would be nice if the CPU model was listed on your website. Great price other than that.

    Hi,

    actually it is...

    But as it seems not obvious enough...

    Will think about howto do it better.

    It is obvious on the website, I just checked, I just couldn't see it on the order pages.

    Hi,

    ah ok, yes thats true. For virtual servers we usually dont do that, simply because hardware is changing.

    We do upgrade the hardware frequently. Like for example the current Mid CPU is driven in the FR location by E5-2670v2 CPUs. That will be changed soon to SP Gold CPUs.

    So if a customer rented a vps 10 years ago he already got 2-3 times moved to newer hardware. Making the CPU part of the contract by adding it in the order page and this way on the invoice would just cause confusion for the customer and issues for us.
