routing bgp virtual appliance with webinterface

d2411d2411 Member

Hi,

currently i am looking for a solution to easily manage vpn connections, bgp sessions and other routing stuff on a web page. My bgp sessions do i currently managing by a terminal session over bird. thats not so comfortable. Is there a os which i can install on a vm where i can simply manage my bgp sessions such as vpn connections ?

  • First guess would be a real firewall solution.
    So OPNsense, pfsense, openers and distributions like this.

    Though, they can do way more than just vpn

    yeah pfsense is my current thing. But its a bit waste to run a firewall with just one wan interface and manage it directly through the wan interface. I thought there are other options like a optimized os appliance

    @d2411 try Mikrotik RouterOS

    Pfsense (or opnsense), and mikrotik are your best options I think if you want to stick to a gui..

    And maybe openwrt, I think they have a gui with basic bgp (frr) configuration options. Can’t check it at the moment
