Looking For A Budget Storage Server
Hi guys, I'm looking for a big storage dedicated server in EU/US.
At least 12 CPU cores.
At least 32GB of RAM. (DDR3 is fine).
1Gbps network. At least 100TB bw per month.
80TB HDD (JBOD), smaller disk is preferred (6TB 8TB disk).
Budget is $95/mo.

Is it hardware raid!? Can we make the nvme cache boost of hdd!? What could be the read/write and iops. Any chance to have yabs benchmark!?

Maybe @host_c might be able to offer something here.
@NetDynamics24 has some sweet storage server, but still you need to raise up your budget a bit.
You can look for some Hetzner resellers. I know one that has a lot of Hetzner storage servers stock from before the price hikes. There I have seen 4x16TB servers sold for as low as €65/month. No guarantees if there is availability for now, but as a general rule of thumb, you should take the current Hetzner pricing as the going rate for storage right now.
PS. Some basement providers have cheaper pricing, but uptime is spotty.

The closest Hetzner will get is about 85€ for 4x 10TB or ~105€ for for 4x16TB. Having said that ~$1/TB is going to be tough in general.
If you can come to 2EUR per 1TB, I have a nice dedicated with 72TBs of storage, hardware RAID, lots of cores, 128Gigs of RAM. In Europe.

Box I was thinking of is a Supermicro but unfortunately only has 24x SAS 2TB. Drives are on a RAID card but could be configured as JBOD. With IO spread across that many physical disks I’m sure performance would be excellent but I understand that it’s only half the capacity you requested.
Could do it for £95 with unmetered 1G port. UK hosted in our own, former Government, facility.
