NAT VPS in exotic locations
Hi guys,
I run RIPE Atlas probes, and I'm on the lookout for some more uncommon locations.
I'm after at least one in Russia, but any other locations would be great too.
Price should be as low as possible for 128/256MB RAM, IPv4 (shared) + IPv6.
I already have the following locations: NZ, AU, SG, JP, US, ZA, CL, PK, NO, RO, SE, IE
Thanks

romania is good?
Have a look at these, there some uncommon options like Indonesia
https://lowend-deals.xbit.win/#ovz (some links are aff)
PhotonVPS has (no aff)
For $5 / month (monthly). See product specs (aff)
Already have one in Romania. Forgot to add the locations that I already have, edited original post.
Thanks, will take a look at those.
Too expensive unfortunately, wanting around $5 a year.
We have around 11 locations listed on our page please check it if you need any let me know

We can offer LT location, IPv4 + IPv6
Cheapest I can find for you in my personal list of recommendations.
For Moscow/Novosibirsk, Russia ๐ท๐บ
LandVPS available in Moscow, ๐ท๐บ
has:
For 90 RUB / month (~ 0.96 USD | 0.90โฌ) (10% cheaper if paid yearly = 972 RUB) (
affiliated link | non-affiliated
4VPS available in Novosibirsk, ๐ท๐บ
has:
For 80 RUB / month (~ 0.85 USD | 0.80โฌ) (12% cheaper if paid yearly = 845 RUB)
You can get a small discount if you purchase through any of my affiliated links:
20% discount on first purchase.
20% bonus on first balance top up.
non-affiliated
For (many locations but specifically what I'd consider "exotic") Hong Kong ๐ญ๐ฐ, Finland ๐ซ๐ฎ, Italy ๐ฎ๐น, Latvia ๐ฑ๐ป, Poland ๐ต๐ฑ, Russia ๐ท๐บ, Spain ๐ช๐ธ, Turkey ๐น๐ท, United Arab Emirates ๐ฆ๐ช and Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ
Just Hosting has:
For 70 RUB / month (~ 1.16 USD | 1.08โฌ)
affiliated link | non-affiliated
For Sofia, Bulgaria ๐ง๐ฌ
AlphaVPS has:
For 2โฌ / month (or 15โฌ/year)
affiliated link | non-affiliated
This is all I can find for you within a reasonable range. They're all non-NAT so it's worth the price.
If you're able to increase your budget to something like 25 USD/year then I can send some more good recommendations in some other countries too.
@zGato any of the Russian ones accept PP or stripe?
Is Romania an exotic location? I am resident here and I didn't know about that.
just.hosting Stripe & PayPal
time-host.net (which I haven't mentioned but very cheap, 99RUB) PayPal
I personally considered it at some point, but i'm now at my 8th VM in Romania so I don't anymore lol
Those all look pretty good, thanks for that. I'll check them out.
As a side note, I noticed ByteVirt have a Cairo, Egypt location, but it says "Network In Falkenstein, Germany". Does this mean inbound is first routed through Germany, then to Cairo?
https://bytevirt.com/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=3
ByteVirt either uses Cloudflare WARP as outbound or very sketchy outbound addresses. I'm not sure how they do their Cloudflare WARP stuff but after digging I guess they announce from BuyVM Luxembourg their IPv6 addresses with spoofed Maxmind GeoIP data and use that to connect to those servers.
I have a VPS with their outbound Egypt and it goes to a random residential IP in Orange Egypt (perhaps a hacked router? have no clue)
And yes, you go from Germany to Egypt.
That's just weird, I guess that's why it's cheap?
I'm confident what they're doing with Cloudflare WARP is not allowed, regards the special locations without WARP, it could be just people sharing their bandwidth but I just find it weird. They have very strict Stripe rules on billing information so maybe they're taking it seriously, but at the same time they allow Crypto.
yes la mare in mamaia de nord, is very exotic, idk if u been there but u can find palmieri or maybe therme
Now that sounds legit af.
Edit: a north korean "server" though? Now that sounds interesting ;'). Then again, IPinfo probably would have the actual location.
IPinfo.io will show Luxembourg. They'll use some random Cloudflare North Korea IP address but they've still not updated their Maxmind IPv6 GeoIP to North Korea so they can't trick Cloudflare yet.
Cloudflare KP IP for example: 104.28.100.0
Antarctica is also not available, and those are casually the only two locations they have disabled. Other ones are.
Eh alright. BuyVM IPs as you said in the other comment or just Luxembourg IPs?
Oh true, so they just flex only to disappoint their chicken customers. Still some interesting "locations".
They are announcing their IPv6 subnets from their own ASN, but do BGP with BuyVM.
Basically their upstream is BuyVM, they're not GeoIP spoofing own BuyVM subnets
if ports are not needed, Mysterium VPN has every location you can think of.
Okay, that makes sense. Woulda been wierd if that was "allowed"/not noticed.
But you'd a) need their shitcoin and b) they probably don't have north korea (ofc op doesn't want that, but still)
It is quite cheap considering the number of locations + residential IPs.
I added like $8 a long time back and it has been working well.
To me it only looks like they only have some monthly/yearly plans.
JustHost is like C1V, CPU steal too the moon and beyond.
If you don't buy the NVMe plan.
HDD/Promo is oversold beyond repair.
Same goes for 4VPS, Promo Package.
I tried their VPS twice, oversold and barely usable.
Will check out LandVPS though.
He's going to run an Atlas probe, he doesn't need that much performance.
I just run proxies on those promo servers and they run just fine.
LandVPS is actually pretty good, good peering (lowest latency I've ever got from BCN to MSK), good servers overall.
It depends, if the system is badly oversold, its not even be usable for that.
To a certain degree, its fine.
