Comments
It is not listed on the website it self ...
Looks sweaty, to bad setup cost, will wait till they cancel that.
Not listed under the "AX-LINE" page, but seems to be listed if you use the "Server finder" instead, for example: https://www.hetzner.com/dedicated-rootserver/#cpu_type=AMD&drive_type=nvme&freq_from=3.4&location=FSN
Interested to see lshw and/or dmidecode results
https://pastebin.com/Dka9QV3S
Hope it helps.
If I had verification on the Hetzner account, it would be better if the server took it from the auction
Laptop silicon now in server hardware interesting
https://www.hetzner.com/dedicated-rootserver/ax42/configurator/#/
Official website update: AX42 officially replaces AX41 and is now on sale!
I'll wait for a free setup promo
Same here, just wait a bit don't spend money on setup
It's a desktop CPU
well, it is a desktop overall, but that single core score... hmmm.... nice
Single Core | 2868
And Radeon 780 iGPU
For a 35W TDP part I think it's quite impressive, and AFAIK a 7950X gets 3100~ single core. Tho it has only 16MB L3 cache and a low amount of PCI-E lanes for a desktop. Also the iGPU is quite impressive itself.
Phoenix is originally laptop silicon, ported to desktop. Raphael were the first Zen 4 dekstop chips.
It is a laptop CPU re-branded as a desktop CPU, but it is monolithic instead of chiplet which is better for performance compared to the Ryzen 7000 desktop series.
Zen 4 itself is very efficient and monolithic makes it even better, but AMD set the power limit of their desktop CPUs too high for the sake of benchmarks. You can turn on Eco mode and won't lose much performance.
