Recomandation:

I recommend you use the built-in Backup slot for your services, 1 slot is free on all services, more can be bought at check-out or via opening a ticket, for the moment on storage servers backup is done only on boot drive, we are working on a generous backup server that can handle the storage services also.

QEMU-GUEST-AGENT needs to be installed on the VPS for backup to work.
Please set up 2FA after you create the account.

https://www.host-c.com/knowledgebase/17/Set-up-2FA-Authentication.html

MAIL, DNS Server and Porn is banned, so do not order if that is what you wish to host.
https://www.host-c.com/knowledgebase/2/Terms-and-Services

For adding the additional Drive we recommend reading this, it will make your life much easier:
https://www.host-c.com/knowledgebase/1/VPS-Storage-add-on-secondary-drive.html

On signup, please use an e-mail address other than Microsoft hosted, we have delivery problems to MSFT hosted mail for the moment.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Happy sailing!

Correct. 30gb is pretty good for running Windows Server OS.

    8x Kingston 2TB SSD, HW Raid 6

On looking closely, since SSD hardware drive is 2 TB each, so only 2 VPS will share one drive for 1 TB each …. that should provide performance boost as compared to 1TB SSD offered in general.

    @dev_vps

well, we hooked the SSD's to a HW raid Dell H730P ( performance ), all 8 are in one raid 6 array. The 2GB cache on the controller can keep up with medium to high IO on the array.

The DC500R are Read Optimized ( hence the R at the end of the code ), so it should work pretty nice for everyone.

We went with RAID6 ( as on all products ) it has good performance and 2 drive fault tolerance.

There is little overhead on the array for dual parity calculation done by the controller ( as raid 6 is a dual parity array type ).

    @host_c

    Thanks for the great explanation.
I missed the RAID 6 part.

Website loads normally, it does have firewall on it so ping is a no go :D

Alright... That was weird. It doesn't load in Brave, but it does with Curl and Firefox.

it does load for me on Brave browser as well as DuckDuckGo browser.

  • Looking forward to restocking your 5T storage server

  • I absolutely dislike these type of "12 months are at 50% off, after that price is double"...

Its so easy for people to forget with auto renewals and bam, ... they get full priced if they forgot to cancel (what the seller relies on).

Just pay in advance for one year and set the cancellation in advance at billing end date.

Since this a quarterly billing, at most you are likely to be billed for three months at double rate. So keep that in equation as well.

It's recurring, so as long you won't cancel it will stay this price.

Are you sure? I was confused too so I asked AI.
    It said

So, for the first 4 billing cycles, you will receive the 50% discount. After the 4th billing period, the discount will expire, and you will be charged the full price set by WHMCS for the product or service.

    Can someone clarify? lol

I also prefer recurring prices even if it means having a less interesting promotion
When I am satisfied I renew for several years.
There is no reward for being a loyal customer.

Otherwise I am very satisfied with the quality of the services. I plan to migrate more VMs there at the end of the year.
For now I have more than what I need.

We can give a 50% discount for these services for 12MO, but after that, we have to break even, otherwise we cannot afford to put newer stuff on the table for the community. :)

All services a quarterly based, you can always cancel after the first quarter if you do not like it.

The Xeon Gold nodes were first "put to sail" on existing selected customers that have been migrated free of charge to them.

There will be a lot of new upgrades coming this year, just be patient and wait it out. :)

Haha yes. It was a general opinion on this type of offer. The purpose was just to give feedback for future offers. Even though the price limit is maybe why you made this choice

But yes in my case I've already been rewarded even though I haven't yet proved my loyalty as a customer. So thanks again!

    so true :+1:

VPS Offers are limited to 10USD / MO, so I had to do "something" to get to that price point. :D , and this was that "something".

    PS:

guys, unpaid orders will be deleted within 8H.

    THX!
