interesting. of course, in the end you @advin have to make enough to cover all your costs and generate a certain amount of profit.

i am nevertheless convinced that you will still offer a good deal based on the new EPYC 9654, especially for @ehab @Mumbly @emgh @sh97 @dev_vps @Astro @hyperblast ;)

A smaller plan could be feasible, I was thinking maybe $40-50/year for a 4GB plan or something like that

We will also be conducting upgrades on our old EPYC Rome nodes soon. All EPYC Rome nodes will be replaced with new EPYC Milan servers (7763 or equivalent).

Currently we just have a few in Japan and New York that will be replaced.

In RAID0, I think the bottleneck could just be CrystalDiskMark or Windows NTFS. Definitely some tuning to do, just wanted to have fun with speeds :)

Four locations will likely get Genoa 9654

    • Los Angeles
    • Nuremberg
    • Miami
    • Dallas

Nuremberg will likely be first, probably starting from Wednesday

We are also almost complete with our network upgrades in Nuremberg which will add Dataforest to our blend (Gcore) instead of just Cogent. We are working on bringing a high-quality and premium network blend to every location.

    that sounds very promising!
do you think I could then upgrade from my “KVM Standard XS - Germany - KVM Standard VPS” to a Genoa 9654? ;)

  • @advin in connection with @dataforest in germany... that sounds massive!
