So, are you need Windows VPS?

The $6 VPS configuration is generally not very high. I mainly use RDP to handle business work, without the need for an independent IP, just the ability to connect to the desktop. If you have it, I would be very happy to

If you need Private, you can check this https://digirdp.com/rdp-plan/indian-amd-epyc-rdp

If you need shared you can check these plans- https://digirdp.com/rdp-plan/cheap-rdp

private RDP will be bit expensive compared to shared but as you need good connectivity in Asia, an Indian Windows VM should work for you

What are planning to run on Windows Server OS?

Depending on that I would recommend minimum of 4 GB memory to 16 GB memory

Pretty expensive. There are much better options

I won’t recommend using India based VPS unless absolutely needed. Even in that case, using big names such as AWS is recommended.

I have only one VPS in India (out of two VPS in South Asia) , that with is with AWS

You can easily get a 2c4g US location on wishosting for $5.99 (tax included) with full windows support and great Asia connection @exception0x876

The cheapest ones are in Singapore and Japan for $4.20/month but the cost of the Windows license is an extra on top of it. More robust configurations start at around $8 w/o license.

If you are doing nothing illegal, there should not be an issue with any local laws.
If you are talking about KYC, many countries do that, not just India.

    Did I mention anything illegal?
When I have a choice, I will pick VPS in location where local laws are better for me.

What makes CERT-In’s directions related to data collection even riskier is that
India does not have a data privacy or data protection law.
Therefore, citizens in the country do not have the surety that their data

AWS didn't ask for my passport or drivers license copy for the VPS in India

I do not have any Aadhar card or PAN card.

in any case $6 vps in SG vs $10 vps in India
    The choice is pretty straightforward
