Need VPS in Panama or nearby

I'm looking for a VPS in Panama or nearby.

Configuration:
16GB RAM, or 8GB RAM
6 vCPU cores,
60GB storage,
2TB bandwidth,
Intel or AMD any CPU,
1GBPS port speed, full root,
IPv4 + standard security.

The VPS monthly cost should be under $15. If you know any reliable, trustworthy provider, please comment. I have future plans to buy dedicated servers in the long term at the same location.

Thank you.

I am guessing you will have better luck looking in Coasta Rica next door, and a quick Google shows a few good options. But it's crazy to think you will get $1-2 / GB pricing in a place like that.

Increase your budget you won't find anything.

Yes, Now I've increased the budget till $20 and downgraded the config to 6-8GB RAM, 4vCPU and same storage. Do you know any reliable VPS provider in that region?

Eh, not really afaik. With offshore + small dcs and high powercost, you're looking at extermely expensive prices. Hosts I know off are:
    https://offshoreracks.com
    https://www.ccihosting.com
    https://panamaserver.com
    or for Costa Rica
    https://crservers.com/
    https://www.racknation.cr/

    Navegalo actually offers both locations
    https://www.navegalo.com/datacenters/

I cannot vouch for any of the hosts though.

@shruub Thank you for sharing these hosts, they're super extensive considering the location. My purpose of that location is to reduce the API latency, main target location is Panama where the API server is located, do you think Miami is a good location to target the Panama? There is a 1200miles straight distance between them, I'm not sure how the distance speed works in API latency.

Ask the providers for a test IP (or look it up yourself by finding their ASN and just picking one). Then run ping/traceroute to it from your other server.

For a broad overview of pings between locations, this site is great: https://wondernetwork.com/pings
They have Panama and a bunch of US locations.

Increase your budget, getting Panama is quite difficult/expensive.
Oneprovider has San Jose, Costa Rica and Bogota, Colombia which are bordering Panama, but for $20/m you won't get your required specs.

Keep in mind that geographical distance is not all that matters when it comes to latency.
Try to find out what provider your target server is using and then see if you can find a server connected to the same provider or with very good peering to that provider.
I have servers ~2000km away that have better rtt than servers that are in the same city as me, so do not focus to much at geographical distance alone.

Thank you for explaining this, I just did the ping ms test for both Panama server where is my target API server and Miami server where I will host and fire the API calls, there is a 50-60ms ping in between them. That is pretty good I believe, please confirm if am wrong.

    Thanks

Totally depends on what you're doing. Generally it's decent.

It's ok, but it is really up to you to decide. You are the one that needs low latency access to your API so you should be able to tell if its acceptable or not.

if it's just api traffic (low cacheability, small size) then why not just slap cloudflare in front and run argo?

the $5 basic argo plan is probably enough depending on traffic but for $20 you can very likely get more than enough traffic and that's going to perform a million times better than some shitty overpriced VPS in a country with poor connectivity

cloudflare has servers in panama so latency to the edge will likely be non-existent and then argo would take care of making sure the best route to the origin is used

Argo is a usage-based product and costs USD $5.00 per month, plus usage. After exceeding the first gigabyte of traffic between Cloudflare and your visitors, you are charged USD $0.10 per additional gigabyte.

Below is estimated pricing based on the expected amount of traffic:

Expected Traffic Expected Cost (Per Domain)
    <1GB $5
    10 GB $5.90
    100 GB $14.90
    1 TB (1000 GB) $104.90
