Nube Cloud - Cheap & Performant VPS

Hi friends at LowEndTalk,

We are Nube (Hong Kong) Limited, a cloud service startup that operates https://nube.sh/ .

We work with our sister ISP, Eons Data Communications Limited, a licensed operator in Hong Kong, to provide cloud service from multiple locations around the globe.

We offer performant VPS based on premium hardware for (very) affordable prices.

1 vCPU on Zen 3 EPYC and 1 GB DDR4 RAM starts from $2.82 per month that kinda cheap.

Our Hong Kong region is now live. San Jose is planned for mid-May, and Singapore for late June.

Our features

  • Cheap. Up to 60% cheaper than comparable services.
  • Fast. See benchmark data on our homepage https://nube.sh/. We win in most aspects.
  • Easy-to-use. We designed and implemented it to bring productivity to our customers.
  • Flexible. Billed by minutes; pay only for outbound transfer; scale on the go.

Visit our website https://nube.sh/ for more info.

Our Network

Global Reach

  • Established computing nodes in Silicon Valley, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Johor Bahru. Building into more internet hubs in the Asia Pacific.
  • Self-operated IP backbone connecting all service regions over the redundant submarine and terrestrial fiber cables.

Fortified Network

  • Designed for fault tolerance: in each service region, our network connects to the internet at multiple carrier hotels via multiple tier-1 carriers and peers with hundreds of local networks.
  • Built to defend against attacks: we employ global scrubbing service, static ACL, targeted packet discarding, and rack-top NGFW to build defence in depth.

Over Provisioned

  • Our global IP backbone is running at 45% capacity.

Well Peered

  • We peer with 600+ networks globally.

Many Homed

  • Our network transits through Cogent, PCCWG, Lumen, Global Secure Layer at multiple locations.

Not possible to order from mobile ?

Come on, even summer hosts don’t do this.

We know that this might disappoint some of our potential customers. While we do have plans to support mobile devices in the long run, we decided against it for now.

    The reasons are 3-fold

    • The whole system is being developed and polished in house. Not bought off shelf.
    • We have limited man power and resources.
    • Few people use mobile devices to conduct complex web tasks such as ordering or managing cloud servers.

So we decided to focus on what matters most in the current phase. Rest assured we will support mobile browsers in the future.

BTW: We have been in business for more than 4 years. We are confident that we will continue to serve our customers for many summers to come.

Nice to see Johor Bahru there. Since everyone wanna put their racks in Singapore, servers now spillovers to Malaysia up above so it's a win for my country

Good luck with sales and hopeful to try your service one day once Singapore/Johor Bahru is live.

Yeah, up to you man. I've been on mobile for several days and too lazy to switch to desktop mode just to see your page.

I hope this kind of sarcasm is not how you handle complaints or disagreements with your clients. I might be your next client, perhaps?

Johor is a good place to run our servers. Power tariff there is about 1/3 of that charged by major data centers in Singapore. So hosting in Johor is really a no brainer.

We are also considering setting up a customer support center in JHB. Will see.

    Absolutely.

Devices for SJC is being loaded on to a ship from Hong Kong to Long Beach as we speak.

Singapore / Johor Bahru is planned for late June launch.

We are still looking for data center with low power cost in the Tokyo metro area. But TYO region will come, sooner or later.

    No PayPal is a feature.

We were once bitten by PayPal's ignorance on 3D Secure and liability shift. A bunch of fraudsters targeted our site, paid for many VPS instances with PayPal using stolen credit cards. Due to PayPal's lack of 3D Secure verification, we got hit by a wave of chargebacks 20 some days later, and each chargeback cost us an additional 20 USD handling fee.

We didn't do anything wrong. Yet we lost big time.

Fraudsters racked up huge traffic volume for which we had to pay our transit providers. We returned all the funds from stolen credit cards (and that's the right thing to do). PayPal charged us chargeback handling fees, despite their lack of means to protected merchants from fraud cases.

    So, no thanks. No PayPal.

    No IPv6 is a bug

We provide dual-stack network. Please open a ticket by email our support team at [email protected] . We will have this sorted out soon.

Our data transfer is also pretty cheap.
    3.1 USD/TeraBytes
    Only outbound traffic is metered.

Just tried to set email-based 2FA on my own account.

An error message bar popped up, but my 2FA was set.

I'll have our front-end developers look into it first thing next Monday.
