Looking for an affordable NAT shell/VPSl @ ~256MB

Something about 3-4.5$ a year, 196-256RAM, not interested in "tad higher" (which usually offers that start from 6$-8$).
I used Gullo for a while but ended up very disappointed with its stability and performance. Also, most of its IPs are banned everywhere, especially by Cloudflare.

"But but what else do you want for such price?!?!?!"

Something that works and worth the price, instead of forcing me to troubleshoot 24/7 whole year. I dont need much CPU for Shadowsocks

    Check our side project Meegie: here
    Or if you need a panel with it I suggest this one: https://billing.retslav.net/NAT

    Have a great weekend all!

    Under 5$ is hard, I only know if Khanwebhost
    https://lowend-deals.xbit.win/#ovz (some links are aff)

    Abd has some coupon codes in the other forum which will get you a 256MB NAT for $4

    Thanks, but I will pass on Webhorizon.

    It has no price info, what I'm supposed to see?

    It is 5/mo, not year or even half a year. Also, it seems to be full-fledged VPS, which is not what I want

    Have you checked this section? https://meegie.net/nat-lxc

    Are they all pre-defined, no customs? I'd take 196Mb RAM and 100mbit rather than 256 and 50mbit (who even buys 50mbit hosing nowadays?)

    I see it's still on the older networking, Its 1Gbit 500GB BW.

    That does not look as bad, even 800GB of bandwidth. I will look more into it.

    Have you tried Cloudflare WARP on a VPS?

    You ------> Your ISP --- [Shadowsocks?] ---> VPS --- [WARP] ---> Cloudflare ------> Internet

    It seems there is also an unofficial installation script like this.

    This part I understand

    @tototo said: [WARP] ---> Cloudflare ------> Internet

    This I don't. Since when WARP became free to use anywhere outside of their shitty app? And how?

    Similar hacks to generate unofficial WireGuard configurations, like https://github.com/ViRb3/wgcf, have been around for some time.

    Are there any public guides/tips for shadowsocks then?

    I think 3x-ui is easy to use. Additionally, it supports WARP.

    Ah yes it wants a domain you can attach to CF which is no any free domain can do properly. The usual stepstones. Not particularly useable. Besides, not particularly interested in sketchy al-in-one solutions and we-panel, they always come with drawbacks and issues, I was more interested in raw and naked shadowsocks-to-warp setup.

    Anyway, I've got enough offers to check, thanks to anyone who chimmed in,

  • totototototo Member

    Well...WARP does not require a domain.

  • DigikaDigika Member

    WARP does not, but from the link you yourself posted:

    Cloudflare registered email
    Cloudflare Global API Key
    The domain name has been resolved to the current server through cloudflare

    That's about SSL certificates, not WARP.

    You need them to properly mimic https traffic shaping with v2ray otherwise basic DPI will instantly mark your traffic as junk and you will be throttled/blocked.
