Cheap KVM Storage VPS 5$ budget

raykraraykra Member

i am looking for a cheap Storage KVM VPS in Europe to setup as a seedbox, i searched and found Servarica, prices are great 2c/2g/2tb for 5$, but they only have servers in Canada which is not my preferred location for download speed and ping, is there any other provider who have a similar offer, for the same price

don't think it will work as a seedbox, my hostbrr vps' disk speeds are so slow that you couldn't even push 50mbits consistently.

are these actual vps or is it just a hosted torrent client?

    HostBrr has (no aff)

    • 1 vCore Intel Xeon E5-1650V3
    • 4 GB DDR4 ECC RAM
    • 2 TB HDD Raid-6 storage (NVMe Cached)
    • 6 TB Bandwidth @ 1 Gbps
    • Dedicated IPv4
    • IPv6/64
    • Germany

For $5.42 / month. See product specs (aff)
If you consume all the monthly bandwidth you get ~50 Mbps unmetered afterwards. Is this ok?

No there's no coupon, the price and offer are the same for both links. It's just that one link is non affiliated.

It varies strongly when ran multiple times, I see 1m reads anywhere between 10MB/s and 500MB/s. The benchmarks are probably also skewed by the nvme caching they use. Torrents are pretty random access, the disk speed ends up being a significant bottleneck.

it's because of nvme cache, do a stress test it'll tank
