    Your response to Ticket #865854

    `Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your understanding of our role as an unmanaged service provider, offering KVM-based shared VPS resources utilized by multiple customers concurrently.

Regarding your inquiry about CPU resources, we want to clarify that a E3 processor CPU is the minimum specification we provide when facing multiple clients accessing the VPS simultaneously. However, during periods of lower client activity, you may experience CPU speeds of E4 or E5 processor.

If you are considering changing your VPS plan, we can accommodate your request by offering a minimum CPU speed of E3 processor. Please let us know if you would like to proceed with any changes to your plan, and we'll be happy to assist you further.

    Thanks,

    Giveaway!

  • Doesn't seem to be the most performant VPS, but seems suitable for certain less performance demanding use cases and not a terrible buy as long as you know what you are getting.

    Also thanks for the giveaway!

That is very strange as we do not use any E3's on our nodes so please do open a ticket with my team and we will be more than happy to help you.

This is so amazing that you don’t even know what is going on?

Kindly explain when or if you are able to.

  • Thats nearly in my budget...

  • Is IPv6 enabled or will available?

  • Good luck with sales!

  • Quick update:

After some back and forth via ticket, the processor was changed to an E5-2660, although I don't believe this is a new node. Speeds to LA and NY are 171/169 Mbits/sec

Geekbench performance dropped to 183/184. FWIW, Geekbench on similar E5 single core from Hosthatch is 442/458 in HK and 428/432 in CH.

    I don't recommend this deal.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

After investigating the matter, we have determined that there was a misunderstanding regarding the processor specifications. Rest assured, all our processors are Dual E5. Our Level 1 support tech unfortunately provided inaccurate information.

We have rectified the issue by ensuring that KVM now accurately reads the correct processors from the host node. The problem stemmed from the Host pass-through being mistakenly set to E3, when in fact, all of our nodes are Dual E5's. Please note that while this may have affected the displayed information, it does not impact performance.

We acknowledge the inconvenience this may have caused and invite you to retest our service now that the wording issue has been corrected. We are committed to providing a reliable solution at excellent prices, and we strive to ensure the accuracy of our offerings.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

  • Update:

Customer service moved my VPS from Buffalo to LA. Performance is now adequate and processor shows E5.
