Looking for RTX 4000/4500/5000/6000 Ada or RTX 4090
Hey there,
Probably a bit more than "LowEnd", but this still seems to be a good place to ask:
I'm looking for dedicated GPU servers. Use case is AV1 transcoding (hence only the Ada series works) and AI Video. Due to the additional decoder chip, the RTX 4000/4500/5000/6000 Ada is preferred over the 4090.
Location needs to be either in Central Europe (e.g. Germany, England, Netherlands etc.) or reasonably close to New York.
For bandwidth I'd need at least 1Gbps and unmetered.
For CPU/RAM/disk, mid tier specs are fine.
I appreciate your offers and recommendations, thanks!

Hi,
we can offer:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
RAM: 128GB DDR5
Storage: 1x 4TB NVMe
Uplink: 1 GBit/s unlimited
Graphiccard: RTX A5000
For 402,56 EUR per month excl. VAT.
@crunchbits can maybe do this in PA (close to NY)
Thanks but the RTX A5000 is based on the Ampere Architecture and doesn't support AV1. I need the Ada Lovelace RTXs.
I've already been in contact with them. Unfortunately they don't have Ada cards yet (in PA). But thanks!
RTX5000 also possible, (sorry overread it)
Do you need it for live transcoding? Otherwise soft encoder should give you way more efficiency and some machine with lots of cores will also be quite fast and usually cheaper.
Alternative would be some machine with Intel Arc. These cards are super cheap for having av1 encoder and the quality is equal to the Nvidia cards. Some even say it's a tad better. Intel really put a lot of effort into it.
We'll soon have RTX 4000 ADA in Sofia, if that's an option for you. Intel ARC is also an option for AV1 I think.
Thank you! Yes, it's mainly for live transcoding (also some VOD stuff). The software is using FFMPEG which currently doesn't support Intel Arc (also doesn't support AV1, but that implementation is close).
Some Video Compute (e.g. text to image to video) is also being tested, so currently Nvidia is the only viable option.
Thanks, but I'm currently only looking for Central Europe or NY. I might need some resources in Eastern Europe as well in the future, so I'll keep that in mind!

We might be able to offer these in New York AND Amsterdam.
Hit me up with a DM, we will work something out
Have a great weekend everyone!
It looks familiar. Is this from Hetzner?
Yes
