vps with 1 dedicated vCPU

Hello,
I actually tried speedypage and greencloud vps today, both were great with their pros and cons.
But I was constantly hitting that 100%cpu usage with speedypage where I took 1vcpu and 2gb ram plan and even ram usage close to 1.8gb, with greencloudvps I had 2vcpu and 4gb ram plan this time cpu was stable at 40 to 50% usage and ram usage stood at 2.4gb.
So I dont need a fully dedicated server.
Can you please suggest me few options. Pricing should be economical!

I guess these specs should do fine:
1vCPU dedicated
3gigs RAM
500gb bandwidth
1ipv4
Good control panel
rDNS
location: europe or singapore

edit: By constantly I mean very often not all time!

VDS is usually more expensive, check these anyway:

Then are there any vps providers, who have higher limit in fair usage policy for cpu! Like if they offer usage limit at 20 or 25%, 2 core cpu will do great for me.

What your old CPU model , CPU model too old so it run so bad and hit high usage
What your current budget and expect budget
Picking Europe will greatly lower cost compare to Singapore

  • Why not continue with greencloud then?

I think @naranjatech and @mxmla have generous limits, maybe check them out.

Edit: I'd suggest you stay with Greencloud itself, unless they tell you usage is high. Maybe @NDTN can comment on this.

    From the T&C:
30% Average Usage should be fine. You can burst up to 100% for 10 minutes, every 24 hours.

Greencloud control panel is not good! And rDNS management is done only through tickets which I dont like.

    Aéza, available in:

    • NA: 🇺🇸 Los Angeles
    • Asia: 🇭🇰 Hong Kong

    Has:

    • 1 dedicated core (Ryzen 9 7950X3D) (non 3D in Russia)
    • 4GB DDR5 RAM
    • 60GB NVMe
    • Unlimited bandwidth at 1Gbps (10Gbps in Russia, London and Hong Kong)
    • 1 IPv4, /48 IPv6 (IPv6 in all locations except Los Angeles)
    • Standard DDoS protection included (seems to handle very well L4 attacks as far as my experience goes)

For: 14.15€/month (cheaper if paid yearly)
    affiliated link | non-affiliated

(London and Hong Kong costs double)

rDNS is easily managed through their control panel, and changes are applied instantly.

If with a VDS you already saturate the CPU, it wouldn't be a problem to use ZSWAP. It uses ~2% CPU to double the available memory. So you'd need only 1.5 GB RAM to have 3 GB.

    apt-get install zram-tools

Example: on a 2 GB VPS (LowHosting.org) I have ~450 MB of memory compressed to 73 MB in RAM, load average 0.01.

    root@sampler:/home/davide# zramctl
NAME ALGORITHM DISKSIZE DATA COMPR TOTAL STREAMS MOUNTPOINT
    /dev/zram0 deflate 983.8M 466.4M 70M 73.7M 1 [SWAP]

This VPS is well-behaved and allocates infrequently. If your software allocates often, ZRAM may use more CPU.

I have a vps with one dedicated vCPU from @HostEONS

Excellent performance and I am paying less than $5 per month.

Check with @HostEONS for any current promotions.

Yeah I will check it, I have received an offer from hosmatic and I am thinking of going with it!

will try it on test server once!
