Does anyone know of any free ones? I believe Bunny DNS allows them, but not sure of any others.

    Thanks! I've tried to sign up with NS1 in the past but it's never gone further than entering my details.

    Doesn't Cloudflare offer this? (Not sure if it's on the free tier.)

    They do if you pay them $200 a month

    If you use a custom name for the NS' with Vultr or NS1 (or others that permit vanity names), do you need to register your custom name with the domain registries in order to populate your custom NS with a domain registrar?

    You just need to set glue and SOA records if using a subdomain
