But yes, connectivity wise, Phoenix Inet beats Atjeu, imo.
Thanks everyone.
@cosmicgate: Do you normally see latencies like that from Singapore?
my home Yog, ID.
atjeu one of our (most of people here) favorite location.
No.
Latency to US are mostly in the range of 150-250ms to the west coast, 300ms max to east coast from Singapore and Malaysia
@cosmicgate: Will you try out 216.224.230.133 for me? That's our current network.

cosmicgate's routes are kinda interesting, based on the IP addresses they pass through Malaysia's DiGi Telecom, then TMNet. Latency from SG to MY is around 20ms or so, 100ms within MY is odd. What's even more odd is that I don't know any provider who will route from SG to US via MY unless the provider is purchasing transit from TMNet within Singapore.
And now there's a test file: http://69.50.222.138/100mb.test
This is on 100 megabit, so if you're getting 100 megabit-speed, then that's all I need to know. I'm more interested to see what kind of speeds Asia/Europe/South America are getting.
misterhost.de: 9.16 MB/s (de)
edis.at: 8.94 MB/s (at)
home connection: 5.28 MB/s (de)
I should mention that the speeds got faster at the end so if the testfile was bigger the average speed would probably be higher
VPS6: 10.7MB/s (11.2MB/s peak)
x10VPS: 10.5MB/s (11.2MB/s peak)
Looks to me like it's pushing the full 100Mb.
Doesn’t load for me.
I can't even attempt to download it from home. Will not load.
Traceroute is consistent from home (UK)...
@Infinity @aubs: Please hold, apparently the disk array has puked. This was some old junk Adam dug up for the sole purpose of installing to testing speeds... as you can see, it's working well.
@damian In that case, you're probably testing the disk speed by downloading a 100MB file, not the bandwidth speed.
yes the connectivity seems pretty bad. this is from my fibre connection at home:

@djvdorp: What kind of latencies do you usually see?
Just serve the file from a ramdisk, its only 100mb
No worries, will give it a shot when it's back up, though I want to put the ethernet cable away so don't take too long!

(thats to another NL server of me, only one I could think of to test it now)
Well of course another NL server will have good latency
The test IP I gave would be, for you: through Europe, across the ocean, and across 3/4 of the United States.... so it would probably be a little slow.
I'm looking forward for moving to another datacenter, I really love IPv6
From OVH BHS

Home connection - It varied from up to 4.3MB/s to 300KB/s, mostly stayed at least 600KB/s which is a great improvement from the previous datacenter believe it or not.
