Lol, don't think will transfer it to him.

  • I am interested... Would you be open to a lower price?

Not sure if you can cram multiple VPS customers onto a 100 mbps upload pipe...

Server price is pretty good ($20/mo for 2x2 TB SSD). If the pipe was better it would be a no-brainer.

Only negative point is the bandwidth:( I don't understand that why decided OVH to strict set the 100 up if they allowed the 1 Gbps over IPv6 on most of 2022 editions.

I could remember 5 years ago evrything was 1gbit exept KS line. OVH going backwards in time. One reason not to buy a server there dont support companys going backwards in time.

Hmmm, SYS servers went 1 Gbps too? Which was the smallest config price and specs? It is very interesting... Nowadays these SYS configurations with 1 Gbps network might be unbeatable. 250 Mbps is fun in 2024 on a dedi.

I dunno didn't use them anymore I didn't like OVH because there panel was irritating to work with and also the performance of the servers were not that great also support is non existence. I have Al my business related projects with Hetzner didn't found a better one yet except for Avoro I just started them using they are cheaper and faster then the Hetzner cloud department but for dedis Hetzner is hard to beat.

A friend of mine rolled a 1000/1000 Kimsurfi server. I however got 1000 down and 250 up on two SYS servers, so YMMV. This was back in 2018-2020.

My experience is that the higher ranges (e.g. GAME) are often burstable

  • yea OVH was great until they started cracking down on abuse and restricting bw.

What do you mean restricting bandwidth? Haven't heard about this until now...

    You had any restrictions imposed?

Yeah they throttle the speeds. Before it was without always 1gbit but I think too many Linux isos
