Looking for a vps, LA location preferred
Hi, I'm looking for a vps (duh), desirable specs;
- Shared core (I don't need much CPU time)
- Ram, not sure what is "standard" probably 1G is ok
- Storage, something fast, but not a lot needed
- Location, LA location or nearby
- Proper SLA uptime
- Lots of bandwidth (no illegal or illicit activities)
What I don't want;
- A provider that ups and moves all your servers to another data center
- A provider that loses your data in said "migration"
- A provider that changes your static IP every 8 months (into a thoroughly blacklist range)
- Not an abused to death IP range or ASN. - Does it appear on a blacklist or does google hate it? I don't want it.
If you are unsure, post your offers with ASN number or IP range and ill have a look.
Not sure if I'm being demanding lol, just having one of my servers (hosted by an "always on the move") expiring in Feb
Budget flexible but nothing over $30/year

What do you consider Proper SLA uptime?
Nothing crazy really, just something that doesnt have hours of downtime at a time like I've previously experienced some providers.

Sorry about the trouble you have had.
Could you share the ticket ID in which you lost your data ?
I don't remember any client loosing data recently, moreover after just a little search in LET itself it seems you have been using our services since almost 2020 or 2021 (based on one of your comment)
Regarding IP change, IP were changed as Dedipath Deadpooled and we migrated out in time
Before that if there were any IP changes, it was enforced upon by Dedipath, but since we migrated out of Dedipath we are either using our own IP or got IP on long term lease from IPXO, hence these IP changes are not needed, and even with Dedipath we changed IP 2 times within 5 years and that too with enough notice.

We started with Dedipath in 2018 and moved out of Dedipath in 2023, and never changed any provider during these 5 year period, so makes you call us "Always on the move"

you misinterpreted; i pay to run some services on the vps, they allow access on assigned ip addresses. When i want to change the assigned ip address, they charge me.
Your "techs" shouldn't be working in what you perceive as tech. My vps was running fine, the complaint was about the forced ip address change. Then you let your kid or whatever played with the ticket system and said that my operating system was corrupt. I would have loved to know how they came to that conclusion.

From the screen shot I can see your IP was changed in Jan 2023 as Dedipath forced us, then changed once more when we migrated out of Dedipath
You are looking for a provider who can provide services with stability, we moved out of Dedipath and saved not just you but thousands of other customers, this was appreciated by all clients and even most of the LET community, people appreciate providers who avoid a catastrophy, but anyways your choice
Then I see your other complain that we charge $3 for IP change, yes we do charge for it if you get your IP blocked in GFW or some other website or network and ask for IP change
Then I see one more complain in screen shot where our techs said that your VPS OS was having some issues so if you want we can reinstall it, we sell unmanaged VPS you can troubleshoot your OS issues over VNC or we can reinstall it if you want to
Anyways good luck, just wanted to see what did we do to see such a response or post, and I am happy after seeing the screenshots
