Equinix is priced okay ish
What prices are we looking here?
Im interested to know what Equinix quoted you, because its far from “okay ish”
I tried asking Melbicom about colo here, they said they just don't offer it for now.
There are only ever so few datacenters that are commercially available.

I have no clue for any rates. I3D IIRC uses Smarthub FJR, but that's all I know.

Sorry, really not aware. Dedicated server prices however can be found from Melbicom and I slightly remember I3D and I can say it's TOO expensive. Lol, basement hosting in Dubai probably is a good business idea. One of the two ISP's also have a static IP package so :V
Oh and OneProvider also has presence here but I don't know what DC they're on, if I have to guess just DX1 or EITC
Still seems one rack in UAE costs more than $10,000 per month.
Niche locations are expensive, who would have thought. There's a reason why there aren't many hosts in the UAE, it's not like no one feels like being there.

Equinix doesn't offer IP Transit unless you go with Equinix METAL ( their dedi offers ) which is very expensive
For IP Transit best is if you can talk to Etisalat 8966
Eitesalat is crazy expensive.
Honestly would be curious who else could you go with ;v if you want any local connectivity, either be on Etisalat, or EITC, or UAE-IX at the very least. Oh and HE too has local routes. They did not for a while because Etisalat refused to connect to UAE-IX, thus giving a long route to Singapore than back. But it's fixed now.
That's the sad part. They run the markets here. the two providers aren't fair competition at all btw. the true prices are all artificially controlled by the telecom government here.

Well you dont have many options there unfortunately its Etisalat or you dont get good connectivity locally
HE is around $1 mbit which is not bad.

and whatever is the XC cost but official Equinix pricing doesnt have costs for XC in UAE
That was the pricing for 10G from HE. For 1G the price is higher.
We still couldn't get pricing from the local IP transit providers like Etisalat and DU but seems they are very expensive. They are not very responsive as yet.
