Looking for Russian VPS

I don't know if Russian VPSes still a thing, due to the new Russian laws.

I don't need anything fancy, I want to use it for a personal VPN.

1 vcore is fine
2GB RAM
200Mbps+ network speed
1TB+ traffic
1IPv4

Looking for somewhere 5€/m or under.

I've used Staincloud before, but I requested a refund due to them discontinuing their Moscow VPSes.

Payment via Litecoin is preferred, but other crypto currencies should be fine, besides Bitcoin.

If cheap is the primary criterion -> ihor hosting. If good quality is most important (and a halfway reasonable price) -> VDSina is a good choice. I benchmarked both (plus some more) and have a VPS from both.

    HostVDS.com meets all your criteria

    justhost.ru

Decided to go with HostVDS. Works fine so far. Thanks everyone who recommended a host.

They are "perfectly thing", don't listen to the hysteria.

I want to use it for a personal VPN.

The bonus is zero ads on youtube, google, and (probably) facebook.
Can't tell for sure about the latter, as I don't use zuckerbook at all.

  • tried justhost.ru actually fine

I don't use Facebook as well, but I do use an adblocker (uBlock origin), so ads is not a worry for me.

Glad to hear that, I guess I got unlucky with Staincloud.

Facebook may not load via a Russian VPS since it is banned in Russia, along with Instagram. Even if some DCs use uplinks with no censorship deployed, that's far from being guaranteed.

Should have mentioned, that you need to get approval to place an order.
Already topped up money and now if they deny it, I likely be stuck.

The 80RUB VPS is oversold, gateway latency is a nice up to 35ms, 9/11 would not buy again.
I rather suggest firstbyte.ru for 75RUB, performance is solid, 10/10

You can buy as many of the 80RUB plans as you'd like, whilst FirstByte is only 1 server.
I'm very satisfied with my servers with 4VPS in Novosibirsk, obviously performance won't be great, neither I'm running heavy applications so...

PS I get sub 1ms pinging the gateway and the verification they require wasn't there before, so abuse must have happened for them to be forced to do that.

They accepted it but still, it makes you to up money first, then they ask questions.
In theory they can just deny it.

They should clearly point out, that approval is needed first before you spend any money
The Uplink of the node is congested and steal suggest its oversold too.

I can speedtest up to 50Mbit/s which is what's advertised (not guaranteed).
80d uptime (since I bought this specific VM basically) and doing anything on the VM (installing apps, upgrading packages, ...) is quite fast IMHO, so the node I'm in is surely not oversold and have peaceful neighbours.

My experience with other providers (GreenCloud) is almost the same or worse, when I can even purchase the service and then I get ID asked, which is a more aggressive verification than asking for what you'll doing with the VM. You can request a refund if they reject the application, I guess.

Verification, or as you wrote approval, is protection from pests, since there are a lot of orders for malicious purposes... in 99% of cases, everyone receives approval without any questions..

Also, by the end of January, on this line (Novosibirsk) promo, there will be a major hardware update, and accordingly, productivity will increase significantly.

Most of us do. Google is aware of that and doesn't like it at all:

The only point above where censorship is deployed is facebook.
I've heard that theoretically some DCs may filter the requests, but never heard about any particular one.
RKN lists are for home and office internet providers, not for hosters.

    Hello,
You can run this to check. On my Russian VPSes (EdgeCenter) about 9 websites of the checked list are inaccessible. Run multiple times to make sure.

They have a really cheap 72 rubles($1) server which is great for vpn.
Aeza is expensive and has shitty support but has unlimited bandwidth.
Also I have used 4vps.su and they have some good Russian servers as well

Not promo, regular services are not cheap. People find cheaper in here. But according to support, they never helped me with anything. Not a single time. I have talked with them many many times asking simple stuff, but never done anything. It's like they are mad.
And one other thing was withdrawal. It's a BIG scam. I had $16 in my account. I asked to withdraw then after 7 days, I received $7.5 . And the support was thinking I'm stupid. I would never suggest anyone to use them.
