Asian friends, Can you speed test and ping this?

Hello,

I would not recommend this network due to it being single-homed. The transit link is only Hurricane Electric. Hurricane Electric does not have optimized routes in Asia due to a limited amount of available PoPs. I believe Hurricane Electric's main focus is not on Asia but in United States.

From what I have observed, users from Asia would be routed to United States and then back to Asia via Tokyo. It would finally reach Hong Kong.

This ISP (PacSwitch) does have peering with China Telecom which resolves any issue when connecting to major ISPs in the mainland such as Unicom and Telecom itself.

If are looking for a network that has more diverse routes, I would go with national ISPs in HK such as City Telecom, HGC etc. The only problem left to tackle would be bandwidth costs.
