WELCOME TO PAGE 573 - FRANK IS BACK AT THE PARTY !!!

    @FrankZ ping

    Hi Tom (waves)

I am so grateful for this thread! Now I understand that this thread is a much faster and better way for LET Members to keep in touch than PMs or Discord!

This thread's cycle rate is so fast! I wonder if we could implement an Operating System atop this thread. People could get thread-powered VPSes!

I bet Bellard could port Qemu to run on this thread!

The only issue I see would be how to ensure consistent operation of each system call as each system call is used repeatedly here in our kernel thread.

Already ping has demonstrated that our LET thread kernel works great to enable user level processes to communicate with each other.

Just a little bit more, and we will have our entire New LET Age of Computing up and running! :star:

    Let's try multi-threaded operation! @chitree ping! @dustinc ping!

The man himself has commented. I'm not sure if you are serious. If you are, please pardon me for my ignorance, I am not well-versed when it comes to kernel and thread integration.
Just wanted to say hi and thanks for the freevps.org project.

    Hi @noob404!

Hi back at you! I was just kidding about running an OS on this thread. But, you know, this thread does have amazing power!

And, @FrankZ, maybe this kind of thread will continue! Maybe this exact single thread will continue! It all depends on people's LET creativity, which seems to be flourishing here in abundance! :)

    Best wishes!

LOL! Thought so. Just wanted to be sure though. But, it'd be great to have something like that, like a digital version of a hydroelectric project or something :D

Anyways, the truth is almost everyone including me is posting on the thread mainly to stay in the competition for the prizes. But, I learned a lot of stuff about VPSes and servers in general from veterans like Frank and other helpful members like TrK, just cause I started posting here. So, yes, it'd be great to keep threads like this going even after the giveaway or the holiday season is over.

In general, I have found that most discussions on LET are useful for the beginner to get acquainted with hosting and servers.

    Thanked by 1Not_Oles

50 more pages and we are at 800 and with that, we would overtake the BF trhead.

That normally happens. New Years thread has many more posts than BF thread. Although I expect that this thread will have more pages than any other RackNerd thread when all is said and done.

Damn! BTW, I noticed it earlier when Mr Ed mentioned. You an I owned almost 50% of the real estate on the thread, back when he mentioned it. Right now, it's 60%.

Also, don't let me replying bother you from posting.

Yep, the top four are doing most of the posting. I guess the other members have better things to do with their life. You are not bothering me from posting, I am just giving @markw roomto get ahead of the rest of the crowd. Also wantedf to say that I appreciate the room you gave me to do the same.

I am gonna join Frank for a little while before I go back to sleep. Hope you don't mind. Appreciate you giving up on the laptop as well.

Rock it man, you are so far ahead now that I can barely see you in the distance, which is good as far as I am concerned. I didn't need the notebook, so I am glad that it will go to somebody who can use it.

Thank you. I really have it all planned out for the laptop. Maybe I am being over-optimistic at this stage, given we have still got about 20 more days to go.
The best thing is that, the laptop could help me cut down my power costs which is a pain. I am guessing the better core-performance on the newer Intels would be a boon here.
