Yesterday I bought a TNAhosting 12GBopenVZ-LET plan and here is a full review.
Specs you get:(shared)
12GB RAM
4 VCPU
500GB STORAGE ( didn't specify the type)
15TB total bandwidth(Incoming+outgoing)
Port speed:NOT SPECIFIED
Price: 5$/month
After purchase experience:
I had trouble connecting through ssh.Putty was showing error everytime.So I opened a ticket but never got a reply.
But I manged to login using serial console on the control panel.
PERFORMANCE: ** In simple words it's good.I mean you get what you pay for.
I deployed a swizzin (I preffer quickbox but it doesn't support openVZ) seedbox on top of that vps ( cause seedboxes can create extreme stress on a server).Now lets see the results.
Stage 1) Apps I installed in seedbox: deluge,rutorrent+rtorrent,panel,ngnix(not an app),qbitorrent,flood,emby,filebrowser.**
The performance was good.Server load was 10% and RAM was at 2%
Stage 2) Added a single 2gb torrent from tbp in deluge.
Speed:max 20mbps.
server load:20%
RAM: 4%
Stage 3) Added 5 torrents total 15gb.
CPU:40%.
RAM: Still 4%
SPEED:max 30 mbps
Stage 4)running emby and watching a movie at 1080p-6mbps
server load: max 182% (got red alert in swizzin panel)
Ram:Still at 10%
MY THOUGHTS:
Overall good for basic usage also basic seedbox hosting. Running media servers are not the best choice(I think they are using low end cores to maintain price).RAM is good.
Also port speeds are ok at this price. (they have 1gbps plan too)
Just as I said, you get what you pay for.At least it's not a waste of money
