Auction: 2GB RAM / 20GB SSD / 1TB @ C1V Hosting

davidedavide Member
edited December 2023 in Service Transfers

This is an LXC VPS provided by C1V Hosting in central Italy; specs:

  • 2GB ECC RAM
  • 20GB SSD
  • 1TB bandwidth per month @ 160mbps
  • 1 vCore
  • 1 dedicated IPv4
  • 1 dedicated IPv6

IP address of this instance is 152.89.170.149 (2a05:4140:3::794).
Contract renews for 13.71€ on September 20, 2024.

The host server is generally under heavy load and the performance is volatile. Other than the high load, availability is 100% without downtimes. Because of the unpredictable low performance it is not suitable for production.

Auction:

  • start price: 5€
  • min increment: 33.3¢
  • start date: right now!
  • end date: December 16, 20:30 CET, or 1 hour after the last bid, whichever is later.

There is no service transfer fee. Payment via PayPal, SEPA and crypto (only thru Binance)

Good bidding!

  • What is the renew price and when?

  • @Reaperofpower renews for €13.71 on September 20, 2024.

That wouldn't be fair, for the minuscole price I paid I did expected performance to be scarce, the service was bought with that expectation clear. It turned out that the load on this node periodically fluctuates too high and that doesn't fit me. For 13€ it's already enough that the server is always reachable regardless of its performance. Ultimately the contract agreement was upheld.

  • I am taking that route as my VM is not reachable, yes the amount paid is low but i would expect utilizing the service as per the agreement or get my money back if they can't provide the service as promised.

That's not how the service is expected to work, so please keep updated by ticket to fix it.

It really worth nothing. I doubt it was even 98% up since you started this auction.

My VPS performance has degraded as well.

Kindly have a look and tell me why performance has degraded so much.

I am sending my vps ip address in DM as well

  • @c1vhosting

if the performance is not improved, I will consider transferring to someone else for just $5 and avoid my time wastage

@dev_vps if you open your service transfer thread we can share some benchmarks or charts or something. I'm uploading larger files on the VPS to test its speed.

You have 24 hours to fix the performance issues for the VPS
otherwise I will create here on LET a Service Transfer Request thread for just $4.99

if you fix the VPS performance issues to reach just 100%, that would be great
you can target for 1000% later

Yoh my wireless home connection is faster than that, and I'd never ever evva compliment Poste Italiane.

Edit: no wait, I'm talking about the download speed. My upload at home is like 100 KB/s like it is still 2005.

The network has become more serious issue since the launch of “premium” VPN service.

Full list of Easter eggs for testing purposes only, no propaganda intended.

    • This is a 116 MB video hosted on the VPS, download it to test network speed. It's a historical battle fought 200 Km south of Pomezia.
    • A 2600 MB video, a reenactment of the provinces of Dalmatia, Judaea and Libya during the Imperial era, all under the yoke of Rome and Pomezia...
    • Time to Say Goodbye, 23 MB, sung by Knight Andrea Bocelli, born in the town of Lajatico, 250 Km north-west of Pomezia.

    I tested the 2600MB video.
    Download completes in 7½ minutes.
It's good enough for 3⅔-hour content.

I'll bid 3€, about what I think it's worth for a 9 months service given the hosts rep. Will send via F&F paypal

  • Thank you @paroxsitic for your generous offer.

Unfortunately it's below the minimum bid price of 5€ and cannot be accepted :'(
