    I had a CSGO a few years ago, which had only 1GB RAM and was enough for a few friends to play deathmatch or 3 vs 3 competitive. Does CS2 really require such a powerful host?

    CS2 is less optimised memory-wise

    I hosted Freeciv matches on a Pentium 2, 256 MB of EDO memory. That trashcan was dedicated 24/7 to the job. I don't get why a first person shooter would need 4 cores :o

    Freeciv was released 27 years ago, CS2 was released 3 months ago.
