nginx proxy manager is not in consider

if you are looking for graphical interfaces, then there's also nginx-ui, but I am not sure if you'd consider it since you already discarded the more popular one. there probably isn't anything much there since majority would prefer writing configs manually by hand.

what do you mean by it can't do proxy? I don't use it, I checked the demo site mentioned on https://github.com/0xJacky/nginx-ui. it lets you edit the config files where you can just write anything including proxy_pass directive, if that's what you are asking.

What problems are you having with nginxproxymanager? I've used it and always found it to be mostly set and forget. If you need more customisation you can just modify the files by hand.

Nginx usually don't require any optimization. If any, you can replace it with OpenResty or Tengine.
Config for php-fpm can be found here. However, the static mode should be most efficient mode for php-fpm, which you need to tune by yourself.

Looks like Nginx UI provides a way nicer gui, anyone has deployed Nginx UI in their systems and willing to share reviews? Using Nginx Proxy Manager now but the development is not very active. It works well though...

I tried the NGINX UI demo, it seems need 2.5GB RAM at least. my server is only 1GB ram

Tried this one out. Had privacy concerns (Chinese origin, maybe I was just being extra-careful) and trouble installing many apps.

But, once set, the panel is very easy to use.
