    Normally people make transfer offers if they don't need a VPS. This is how it works around here.

    I saw a couple of posts quoted below and decided to be proactive.

    Usually after a giveaway there would me some list of winners and people congratulating one another, or trying to sell their gifts, or whatever.

    This thread is left in the air with Christmas long gone, for both lists (LES and LET).

    FAT32 and servarica_hani - what happened?

    @default said:
    Maybe servarica_hani could do the draw with something like random.org

    Congratulation to the winners!

    FAT32 said: For fairness we will use the block hash of height 827656 of Bitcoin as the seed for the drawing ... The Bitcoin block hash for height 827656 is: ...snip...

    Although I'm not winner, thanking servarica_hani for giveaway and FAT32 effort using bitcoin hash for fairness of drawing 👍

    True. An auction would be better instead of a sale transfer.

  • Love it! after a couple days of using their mouse storage I was pretty satisfied with its performance.

    There's a caveat though, cause their mouse storage only has the option to install debian 10 which was pretty outdated, I asked them about this but their only option was for me to send them an ISO file of the preferred OS. So I sent them a Debian 12 iso and their staff guided me through all the installation steps on their live chat. The staff definitely felt like they knew what they were doing and was super helpful to the point I felt somewhat ashamed when I was letting them do all the work on the installation process (I am so sorry!).

    I installed a minIO standalone node, and so far there are no performance issues other than the disk speed being on the hard drive level (no complaints here btw it was to be expected).

    As a hobbyist and a student who uses 100-200gb on object storage, this definitely will save me some money in the long run.

    Thank you so much @servarica_hani for this opportunity to use your services for free!

  • If there were current distributions available, their help wouldn't have been needed. It is all on them don't feel guilt.
