We have a IPv6 range announced already but decided to use a different one.

IPv6 will be available from next week.

Hi - Congratulations on this beast! Really impressive scores. I do have Ryzen 9 7950X VPSes but their Geek Bench 6 single core score is about 1900. How does the Ryzen 7 7700 outperform its big brother?

As far as Geekbench 6 CPU scores are concerned, Ryzen 7700 looks better than 7950X. Should I purchase this 7700 VPS although I have 7950X?
@Shakib Can you please share your advice? Thanks

7950X (170W TDP) in 1U chassis without a good cooler will throttle for sure once it's actually in use.

Some providers may also power limit those systems and 7950X will just end up as a marketing gimmick.

Our 7700 (65W TDP) is also in 1U chassis, equipped with Dynatron cooler which most providers here uses for their RYZEN builds. As you can see with my previous screenshots, we are reaching 70 degree with 80% CPU usage while maintaining 5.30 GHz boost clock. Our build is pretty much same as other provider's 7950X systems just with 7700 processor.

Now do you actually think other providers would be able to maintain temp and boost with the same 1U build?

@Shakib Thanks for your swift response. God knows well who will perform better in the future. But I admire that Geekbench 6 single CPU score is awesome with your build (Ryzen 7700) if I do compare it with my Ryzen 7950X VPS. I like the deal and really want to purchase this. Here are some of my queries. I would appreciate it if you give your response. It will help me to make my decision to purchase this. Thanks...

    RYZEN 7700 4 Cores/8 GB Deal (KVM-8G) - Salt Lake City

1- What's the service uptime? Is it 100%?
2- What will happen if the host node is down? Is VPS behind the load balancer and in high availability mode? If not under LB/HA, what is your backup strategy? How much time will take to resume VPS services or shift to another healthy node? What will happen to our data? How many backup nodes are available in case of disaster?
3- I will use this VPS for Asian traffic. As of now, you don't have any server(s) in the Asian region. Right? How can I reduce latency? Should I use a CDN along with caching?
4- Any offerings in this deal like doubling of Bandwidth/CPU/RAM/Storage etc?
5- If 4TB monthly bandwidth is exceeded, what will be the cost of additional BW?
6- Please confirm that your IPs are not blacklisted as I am suffering from this issue with another provider.
7- Any discount code is available in the first year with this deal?
8- Any control panel you are offering with this VPS? For example: some are providing free DirectAdmin with their VPSes. If not, please suggest the best free control panel.
9- How many backup snapshot(s) per month you are providing with this deal?

Those nodes are in the fiberstate DC and we are expecting some small downtimes for the first few months. Expect at least 99.9% uptime.

We are not expecting hostnode downtime or hardware failure. If somehow let's say the motherboard failed and we don't have a spare AM5 motherboard (us & our DC), we can just take out the drives and put them on another system to keep services going. I got plenty of NVMe, RAM already already shipped to the DC and can just borrow/buy hardware from the DC in case of an emergency.

Samsung 990 Pro should last us at least 5 years before we see any failure. We are also using ZFS RAID1 for redundancy. Monthly backup is free. You can upgrade your backup solution for a extra fee. Only one offsite backup storage server.

No server in Asia. Sure. You can use CDN.

Our margin is already pretty low on those servers. We won't be making a lot money from those deals. You can compare our pricing with other providers. No double resource deal available.

If you post a benchmark on LET, I will never charge you for bandwidth overuse. As long as you are not actually abusing network port.

As you can see on the benchmark, RYZEN IPs are new and clean.

    No additional discount.

    No free directadmin/cpanel.

One full backup which is for emergency only. I'd recommend you to keep your own backups or upgrade to paid backup service. We aren't responsible for your data. It's a automated solution.

    Thanks @Shakib for your response.
As this is a yearly deal, In case I need to increase hardware resources later (like CPU/Memory/Storage), what will be the yearly price for each resource?

Double resource for double the money will be offered later this year. Excluding additional IPv4.

    sounds great ;)

  • I'm delighted to hear about this offer. Is there an additional hard drive option available? I use the server for streaming transcoding, which may consume 7*12 hours of 100% CPU resources. Would it be possible to provide an extra 1TB HDD for mounting? Thank you.

    Thanked by 1Shakib
  • It looks great, and I'd like to place an order for your server. I require an additional HDD or SSD with a capacity of at least 500GB. Can you provide this option? In most cases, I'll be utilizing 100% CPU resources for 7*12 hours. I intend to use the server for video transcoding using ffmpeg and not for mining purposes, which typically consumes a significant amount of CPU resources.

12 hours a day of constant 100% CPU usage will go against our acceptable use policy. You should buy a custom plan with dedicated core.

500 GB NVMe upgrade is possible @ $250/Year. (+VPS cost)

  • 1- What's the service uptime? Is it 100%?

I've been using HostCram for more than 1 year. My two VPSes were totally down for less than 10 minutes during the past one year due to scheduled node upgrades or maintenance. So, SLA 100% it's not, but close.

I could not share the link now, as I've got the VPS rebuilt for production environment. Before the rebuild I ran YABS again. The scores were a bit lower, but still wow. Single Core 288X, and Multi Core 88XX.

This machine is fast. As I've been with Hostcram for a bit time, and this R7 was used to replace my previous i9, so I go directly build production environment with it. The whole building process was very fast, though I didn't really count the time.

12 hours a day of constant 100% CPU usage will go against our acceptable use policy. You should buy a custom plan with dedicated core.

@Shakib can you give me an example of custom plan with 1-2 dedicated core and 4-8GB RAM? Thanks

Hi @kend Can you please share this Geekbeench report link? Achieving 2992 score on a single core is insane. This score even beats Intel Core i9-13900K and Intel Core i9-13900KF.
    https://browser.geekbench.com/processor-benchmarks

What's your experience with this VPS so far?

I could not share the link now, as I've got the VPS rebuilt for production environment. Before the rebuild I ran YABS again. The scores were a bit lower, but still wow. Single Core 288X, and Multi Core 88XX.

This machine is fast. As I've been with Hostcram for a bit time, and this R7 was used to replace my previous i9, so I go directly build production environment with it. The whole building process was very fast, though I didn't really count the time.

@kend Thank you for your response.
I know the hardware resources on these VPSes are shared and decreasing the score from 2992 to 288X in 3 days is normal. Still, 288X is a great score. But how much it will be decreased further? As @Shakib said in one of the previous posts, he is putting 25 accounts on one physical node. Upon full load, what will be the single CPU score then? @Shakib
As I said I am using Ryzen 7950X VPS. On 17-Nov-2023, when I purchased this, the single CPU score was 1958. I tested today (03-Dec-2023) and the score decreased to 1849 (-109). Even I don't know how much it will further decrease. So what's the benefit of using 7950X then, I don't know.

With a pure NGINX setup, I am getting greater than 250ms response time from a blank PHP page (Google Chrome Developer Tools ->Network->Doc). Sometimes, the response time gets worse than this. It is not stable at all. I was expected to have less than 50ms from Ryzen 7950X, DDR5, and NVMe 4.0 hardware.

Can you please share, what's the response time you are getting with your VPS on blank/lightweight HTML/PHP page?

@Shakib Thanks for sharing these stats. Amazing score with your VPS setup with Ryzen 7700!
Have you put the full 25 accounts on this node? Can you confirm this score 2920 will be somehow consistent even at full load and will not go less than 2800? Thanks

Hi @kend Can you please share this Geekbeench report link? Achieving 2992 score on a single core is insane. This score even beats Intel Core i9-13900K and Intel Core i9-13900KF.

What's your experience with this VPS so far?

    Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test:

    Single Core | 2920
    Multi Core | 8879
    Full Test | https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/3830615

It's possible to reach 2992 single core score on 7700 in good times.

@Shakib Thanks for sharing these stats. Amazing score with your VPS setup with Ryzen 7700!
Have you put the full 25 accounts on this node? Can you confirm this score 2920 will be somehow consistent even at full load and will not go less than 2800? Thanks

Around 25 VM is projected for 192 GB RAM nodes.

I am expecting at least 2500 GB6 single core score based on what I have seen with our i9 systems.

Edit: 15 VM online on this node.

Maybe I could provide a few more information on this. As I said before I've used the i9 Monster packet of Hostcram for a good 1 year. At the beginning the multi-core score of the 4CPU system was sometimes 58xx and sometimes 60xx. A few days ago when I decided to go with R7 and cancel the i9, I did the last test on it. The mulit-core score was like around 5900. So actually the same status as 1 year ago.

    Just for your information.

This sounds great. Almost consistent multi-core scores at the beginning and end of the year. It means we can expect the same from this Ryzen 7700 VPS.
    Thank You!

    @Shakib Thank you...
I have seen 2 NVMe 2TB modules installed (image you shared previously). Are these in RAID?

    ZFS RAID1

Hi @kend Can you please share this Geekbeench report link? Achieving 2992 score on a single core is insane. This score even beats Intel Core i9-13900K and Intel Core i9-13900KF.
    https://browser.geekbench.com/processor-benchmarks

What's your experience with this VPS so far?

    Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test:

    Test | Value
    |

    @Shakib Thank you...
I have seen 2 NVMe 2TB modules installed (image you shared previously). Are these in RAID?

    ZFS RAID1

@Shakib Thank You! What's the best way to contact you directly?
