Two ethernet interfaces showing up?

At my EDIS KVM, I have two ethernet devices (eth0 and eth1). I can't see that this is explained anywhere on their website. I've always just used eth0, and there's no problem, but does anybody know the reason for there being two?

  • Does eth1 list an IP address? RX and TX packets or bytes?

  • There hardware node might have 2 NICs?

    Nah.

I'm assuming they have a private LAN option and they just didn't mention it :)

Neither interface sets the IP address dynamically, so I wouldn't expect that. I've been given one address, and I statically assign it to eth0.

    Francisco's theory sounds plausible.

Try assign it to eth1 and see what that gives.
