Pagespeed Insights & gtmetrix Speed test

Hi Expert,
We always get a valuable info through this forum.

Which USA state is best to get the best performance on pagespeed insights as there is no option to choose a Server location for testing.

Is Provider play any role in term of performance of websites?
Is internet port play any role in performance of website?
Is NVMe Gen4 provide better speed?

Any Other ways to get better performance in term of hardware, provider or anything else(except softwares)
Expert opinion is highly appreciated.

  • Why optimize for GPSI artificial result? Better to optimize location for your users. Provider doesn't matter, but of course a fastest CPU and fastest RAM and fastest storage device will help some small bit. "Any Other ways to get better performance in term of hardware, provider or anything else(except softwares)", that's just it, the software used on the site makes up like 90% of the GPSI score, better hardware/provider won't fix CLS, or poorly optimized LCP.

Server response time is the main issue in pagespeed insights. How to fix it. Thats why i was asking about the location.

  • Fix whatever is hanging up the server = usually a bad plugin or script, or bloated theme. Make sure caching is setup and optimized. Add CDN like Cloudflare.

You can always use a CDN. Free one like Cloudflare is more than enough. For paid, i would go with Bunny.net CDN.

I have tried Rocket.net, and it's blazing fast, as they are using relatively "good" processor for their nodes and most importantly they are using Cloudflare Enterprise CDN.

Even 100Mbps port speed is just capable enough to score 100 in GTMetrix or PageSpeed Insight.

Not really, even a SATA SSD could score 100 in GTMetrix or PageSpeed Insight, what you need just optimization. NVMe is great when it comes to heavy database queries.

Better server specs would improve ttfb, which is time to first byte. Rest depends on the CMS you're using, and how optimised it is.
