Scream is one of my top 5 favorite movies :D

I'm not sure if you can hide your caller ID in the states any more...I know caller ID can be spoofed though cause those darn robocaller spammers do it

Oh I understand you about caller ID spoofing but for the movies, I would replace scream with scary movie franchise :D

I am passively here :) Don't have time for participating in discussions, but if Chef would appear, I think I would keep the F5 pressed :D

That means you are ready for pushups????

I am kind of ready, but might miss that, because I am not focused on LET right now :)

busy with office work? or is it because of something else?

Yesterday I barely failed Azure Solutions Architect certification (got 661 out of 1000 points, passing score is 700), so I am now preparing the topics I performed worst. I really wish to pass the exam this year, and last possible time slot is on 29th of December. Right now I am spending each free minute to dig deeper :)

Cloud architect in general is not that easy no matter if its azure, aws, gcp and oracle. Good luck with your exam this time.

I already have OCI Architect certificate, its now just to gather all of cloud architect titles :D I guess, AWS is next :)

After AWS, GCP will be next?? looks like you are on a rolling spree!

GCP is not something we use, so I might skip it :) But yeah, I'm increasing my portfolio :)

I am curious now, what else are you guys using??

OCI is my personal result. This summer OCI certs were free. That encouraged me to try Azure, because our company needs Azure certificates for MS Partner program. AWS is used by our clients I am working with, so getting that would also increase my value to clients :)

Sounds amazing to be honest, any ideas if you are going to PaaS solutions as well like coolify or something?

I work with enterprise client, so any changes are very slow to come here. We will see, as demand comes, I will definitely go through every step to get the best solution :)

Ohh i am waiting for the day when you ask on let about ooen source PaaS solutions :D

Who knows, that might happen some time :)

Just a question will you sufficient with docker based PaaS or you will be going a complete cloud solution?

It depends on the project really. Some solutions are docker based, some are using good old tomcat on bad old windows servers, some are using AWS S3, Data Lake, Lambdas etc. There is no unified answer to what to use. You always have to be flexible and use the best technology for the project :)

Looks like a mess to deal with everyday, and the reason I prefer to move old age seevices to new platforms for easier management and resource manipulation.

Everything gets down to finance and reliability. Migrating any project requires a lot of money, and if the service has been reliable for the last 10 years, everyone is afraid of migration, because new one might be problematic. That's the dark side of working with enterprises.

Well true, if it's work don't mess it up mindset is usually everywhere, but still using old codes aren't recommended unless absolutely necessary, well if they are all internal piece than i guess it's all fine. I am curious what the old code is all about? clients work or enterprise stuff for your company??

There is even some factory plant control code written in Visual Basic. We already started migrating some of the software to new technologies several years ago, but rollout is very slow. :)

Wow, that sounds kinda awesome, so you are migrating all the code alone??

Definitely not :) I'm just a part of the team :)
