Why I could see my eternal IP address on a server and not on my home laptop?

Hi all, I was always curious about this why when I issue ip a command on my server I got it external IP sadress

    NAT. If you ran the same command on your modem or ONT you'd probably see an external IP there.

    Kinda know that (and I guess I can get my 4G tower internal IP address too )

    So the server HUB/Router allowing the external IP to be shown in my VPS/server?
    in that case, I could configure my router to get access to it external address.
