Hello!
A friend mentioned KillBill billing platform:
Is anybody aware of any Low End provider who uses KillBill?
Thanks!

Let's ask @beatrix kiddo
Do they make money from the AWS instance? At a very quick glance looks like so.
I'd like to know their profit model, since it looks like a business
I don't see any mention of hosting integrations. Nothing related to hosting at all.
So you could setup and manage subscriptions, but it's not like WHMCS where it integrates with hosting software.
It says "On premises or in the cloud"
Yes it does say, and it's open source, but they do offer that AWS in cloud thing from their site, probably that's where they get their profit
That's a terrible name for some billing software.
Development of it seems to be pretty quiet, judging on the fact the oldest commit on the first page dates back to July: https://github.com/killbill/killbill/commits/master
Checkout Lago, another active project for billing
https://github.com/getlago/lago
I mean, it stands out, at some point, that's enough
Example: GoDaddy
Thanks!
Was looking for a software for automatic invoicing (my book keeping software charge 10 bucks extra each month for it, and it kind of sucks)
GoDaddy is quirky.
KillBill just makes me feel uncomfortable. Are they going to try and destroy my billing practices? Am I going to wake up and all my invoices are gone?
Each to their own, of course - I just personally am not keen on the name.
I've previously said to my customers "let me discuss this bug with the developers of our billing software (WHMCS)". I don't fancy saying "let me have a word with KillBill", somehow.
"Let me quickly go ahead and kill Bill, so to speak."
