SpeedyPage account issue

I ordered a hosting from @speedypage two days ago, and even didn't begin use it, I didn't resolve the domain name in cPanel to their hosting, and also didn't add any sites in their CDN section, but I found my account been closed today, without received any notication in advance, I didn't do anything which violate the TOS, I know perhaps some users violated their TOS recently, but it's not me, you can't kille all innocent users because the fault of some abusers

  • Please use periods in your sentences next time.

I'm also certain you're missing some details out...

    Thanked by 1hotsnow
  • I've been using speedypage since may, the support staff have been nothing but very helpful, even fixing bugs that i encountered quickly, not sure what happened in your case.

    thanks.

As I know, some chinese users ordered their hosting recently and made some abuse on their CDN, but I don't think it's sensible to kill all innocent users because the fault of these abusers.

I'm also from China, but I'm not abuser. :'(

One user signs up, asks how CDN works, we tell them that we usually don't permit CDN on sites that are not directly hosted by ourselves but we'd allow it in this one instance out of simply being nice people to the client.

12 hours go by, 20-30+ sign ups all from China with all off-platform hosted websites and some that were directly going overboard and using 20TB+ of bandwidth.

Unfortunately, one ruins it for the many. Our integration is now being modified to block all off-platform usage and all orders for CDN from users in China will be manually reviewed until then.

I don't have anything else to add. I believe I know which client you are and you were immediately provided a full refund. Unfortunately, we can't allow this type of abuse, especially when there are forum posts specifically informing people on how to do it.

I'm sorry for this situation, but I'm not abuser, and will honor the TOS, can I order your service anymore? or you will deny all chinese users now? thanks.

  • @speedypage , wow, i was worried about being booted off your platform so i opted not to use the bunnycdn for my community website as we are using around 2tb monthly with cf but here we have someone using 20tb in 12 hours. :D

2TB of bandwidth is not a problem, if you are actually hosting it with us. In the past, we have never actually prevented anyone from hosting off-site if it was reasonable usage, but some people unfortunately abused that slack and it now will no longer be possible.

I believe you, so we won't have a problem in allowing you to use the service. Please DM me your account email and we'll get you setup. My apologies for the inconvenience, but I hope you understand why we had to do what we did.
