Looking for ~$2/mo VPS (*10 for 10 locations)
Hi all,
For a server uptime script I need some low end spec vps servers in 10 locations for each up to $2/mo.
Ideally
1x US-east
1x US-west
1x CA
1x AU
1x IN
1x SG
1x SA
1x BR
1x NL/DE/UK
1x NL/DE/UK
specs:
- >768mb ram is fine
- >15gb (else I can’t install ubuntu if it’s only 1gb)
- HDD or normal SSD is fine
- Ubuntu 18 or 22
I’ll be running Apache/MySQL/PHP

Easy for the provider (as it's like bulk offer almost, and easy for my administration as well to keep it with 1 provider)

For SG gigsgigscloud has a location in HK for $2 per month but only 512mb of ram - SG has an ovh location for about double the price.
For NL hostslick is having a sell for 20 euros a year rn
Edit: Didn’t see the recent post - in that case maybe OVH + google but they are obviously going to cost more than $2 per month.
OneProvider's OneCloud , but pricing might not fit for your budget.
Then you may want go with something like vultr.

$2/month even at those specs is going to be difficult to find for all those locations from a single provider. You may need to increase your budget and/use a mix of providers. In addition to suggestions already made, a few possible options that have relatively inexpensive plans in at least many if not all those locations might include:
Microtronix has this price range in Ohio. However they offer 512M ram. You can probably contact @jfreak53 to ask if he's able to increase the ram to 768M but I'm not sure.

@hh69 Do you need IPv4 ? KVM or OpenVZ ? we may be able to offer but only in US East and West, unless Portland works for you to replace CA then even that ..

We can offer 5 of the locations, but you are going to have a hard time finding a provider in your budget that can offer all 10.

I was the same way till recent events you can find on here. If anything ever happens to that one provider - whether they shutdown, push a bad config to all their facilities (I think CF did this to numerous locations 'recently'), or anything else - you have to suffer through the complete outage or migrate everything to a new provider. I would select at least a few providers.

If you are not yet a client of OVH (or you can ask a friend to register and pay), then they are offering such tariffs at the moment as a promotion. And all your locations will be in one place. But there are several factors that need to be taken into account - the promotion is valid for only 1 year, the port speed is 100 megabits, which is really low now, there is a traffic limit of 3Tb after which the port speed is reduced by 10 megabits (at the same time, they write in the offer that the traffic is unlimited). But if you test your functionality, it should be quite suitable for your tasks, you also didn’t say anything about throughput, but in my opinion it is acceptable for your purposes. It is also possible that you will have to register in two different regions separately in order to use all countries - but this is a completely passable point. It should also be said that the promotion has been repeated for the second year, so we can assume that it will happen again next year and the servers can be quickly transferred later.
