Just to put this out there but CloudPanel when you create a PHP site (Its part of adding a site) actually has WHMCS as an option and it already has all the correct rewrite rules, I am actually using it myself haha very painless plus page speed is always fun.
Wow, is that for real? I've heard some good things about CloudPanel and have always wanted to give it a try. Does it seamlessly integrate with WHMCS out of the box?
EDIT:
You were correct!
Yep haha, I was shocked too but was testing different panels and I noticed it while testing, then decided to test with it, can only say good things so far
@Uchiha
This may help you.

And as there are not many good alternatives for NGINX rather than Apache, overall, nginx should be a better choice for WHMCS if you are looking for a web server that is faster, efficient, and scalable.
No. Apache is more than enough. You don't push whmcs with 100k u/d. to justify nginx hemoroj.
It's GREAT
In case of a DDoS attack, he will certainly get a load where cannot go without nginx.
