Dedipath Refugee, looking for two 50-60 USD dedicated servers.
I'm back in the market in need for two ESXi 7.0 compatible servers:
Location: US
Needs to have an RAID controller and IPMI so ESXi can be installed.
Preferably the two servers should be identical, but not a must.
Ballpark for the configurations:
50 USD/mo:
Dual E5-2670v1
48GB RAM
2x1TB SSD (RAID0 or RAID1)
10Gbps with 10TB per month
5 Usable IP's
60 USD/mo:
Intel Xeon Dual E5-2630L/2620
Bandwidth: 1Gbps Unmetered
Memory: 64GB DDR3 RAM
IP Addresses: /29 IPv4 (5 Usable IPs)
RAID: Hardware RAID 1 (2 Hard Drives Required)
Hard Drive: 2TB SSD
Secondary Hard Drive: 2TB SSD
Thank you in advance for any offers 🙏

Talk with @qps.
You might spend a few more bucks for it, but I can assure you that Jeff's not going to leave you high/dry migrating in 3 months because of some unsustainable deal.
Don't undervalue a nights sleep.

Free promo to upgrade to 96G memory -or- a free secondary 1TB NVMe.
Before Dedipath I was actually a longtime customer of Quickpacket.
I admit the support was good. But the hardware was very old and very expensive compared to almost anything else out there today.
From my previous experience with talking to Jeff I doubt that I'll get close to that price, it will probably be more than double.
If I wanted to raise my budget I would go to Tier.net, the support there felt even better than Quickpacket and the prices were much more reasonable.
Thank you for the offer, but that would not be able to run ESXi OS.

This one is compatible with VMWare ESXi - includes HW RAID on the drives.
We have tons of other configurations, the majority, if not all will run ESXi - https://www.reliablesite.net/dedicated-servers/
I'm sorry you got that impression. We add new gear all the time and our prices are competitive with others in the markets we're in. We don't have anything older than E3v1/E5v1 in production (and for the most part, we retire the v1 stuff when a customer upgrades).
We don't have the exact specs you are looking for in stock, but if you are willing to give us another chance, please open a sales ticket and I am happy to work on a quote for you.
We have people running ESXi on R7s right now without issue, we also have e5s if the R7 doesn't fit your needs.
This will be a production ESXi, and 7.0 specifically is very picky in hardware, I would not risk it on running on AMD's as they're officially unsupported and I think you even have to perform some override during installation to get it installed.
E5's are relevant, do you have anything in the ballpark above?
