    From looking at the screenshot, the full name they gave Crunchbits is apparently "ule lease2". I'm going to guess it's the usual "used blatantly fake personal info" suspension reason.

    We don't really care about information entered while ordering, though I do recommend a working e-mail (people miss invoice/update notices otherwise). Other PII might be useful if you had to recover an account, but I completely understand (and support) some users not wanting to give that away for a low end VPS.

    Specific to the former customer already mentioned: user became upset when he realized his IPv6 only VM didn't have an IPv4 included. His next reply was along the lines of: "Give me an IPv4 or I will chargeback". Whether he meant to attempt to blackmail or was just a poorly translated way of giving us the option to choose to give him an IPv4 or refund him, he was refunded and we parted ways.

    Aside from him, the only other ones who we've also parted ways with are users that initiated PayPal disputes/chargebacks because the yearly special VM wasn't delivered immediately. A number of people have asked to upgrade to add IPv4 after the fact and have been processed, no issues at all there.

    Where was your detective work on Dedipath? :D Looks like link for non-logged in goes to the old network status page which we'll have to update that. Mostly trying to funnel everyone through our main website and not WHMCS as I have a hunch an upgrade/change to WHMCS is inbound in the future. Though if a 404 is criteria for sus, we're probably going to be guilty forever as product stacks change, new specific-product information pages roll out, etc. I already know the network status page for logged in customers will soon redirect to a specific listing that mirrors our internal status (and operations) for all individual VM nodes so there will be a lot more detail.

    Other than that, only thing I politely ask is keep it to Crunchbits being 'sus' or related to the thread and don't start attacking other users in this thread.

    Thank you for your reply :D

    At least $22 fed a pig, that's one positive I've taken from above.

    It's possible that the official Windows image on crunchbits lacks drivers. You can try to dd a new Windows system and then proceed with the network configuration.

    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet6 static
        address 2606:a8c0:3::100/128

    He was refunded, and is not welcome on our platform. I won't allow abusive nature/blackmail threats no matter how much money is being spent. I've already wasted enough time on this and customers like that. Since I know someone will share it: tell him to go find another host. Surely you can easily do that if you're not already banned from everywhere else.

    Of course I am at a disadvantage here because I will not ever post fully private transactional details out of a commitment to privacy (no matter what he may call me).

    However, I checked to confirm (he paid with Stripe):

    Payment refunded. It may take a few days for the money to reach the customer's bank account.

    Not only do you get an automatic e-mail when a refund is processed, I also personally remember replying to this ticket. Interesting. Sure doesn't look like he paid for IPv4, either. That's all I'm going to say on this, any customers we'd want to have will know who is being honest and forthcoming. There are still plenty of HostLoc/NodeSeek customers with us who are excellent and I am happy to provide services for as long as they need, however I do recommend they clean up their house as the number of users like this one far exceeds anywhere else and are likely to cause them headaches and to miss out on stuff in the future (not just from us).

    Sincerely,
    Work Order War God
