hey there,
I'm looking for a New York VPS with the following minimum specs:
- 4 high frequency/newer gen cpu cores
- 16 GB RAM
- 200GB nvme/ssd.
Budget would be 20$/month.

With your budget cpu steal should be expected.

thanks, I gave also advin a try for a couple of months, but cancelled because of perf and reliability issues.
why not go for a dedicated you can get it between 25 to 30$ from any low cost provider
I have other vpses in US and no cpu steal:
8 vCPU/16GB/240GB Hetzner in Ashburn (CPX41), 30$. If someone here can provide Hetzner quality and on par specs for NY, I'll take it with an increase in budget to 30$/month. No cpu steal.
4 vCPU/16GB/160GB Hostcram in Dallas, 15$. No cpu steal
4 vCPU/16GB/100GB Advin in LA, 8$. This one has some (<5 on load) CPU steal, but for 8$ it is acceptable, not for 20$.
I'm ok also with the outcome that there are no deals to be had.
Better no deals, than having a 20$/month vps with high (>20) cpu steal like contabo does in eu. In that case I can also get a v2 xeon vps for less and have the same perf.
unfortunately I've seen those prices only for older gen cpus. A slice of a more modern cpu would be preferable to having a dedicated old one.
Does it have to be NY?

thank you for the offer, ny is currently the only missing location from my setup after the advin cancellation. The other locations are covered. Also I've had bad experiences (performance-wise) with older xeon setups, so I try to avoid them.
