So many questions, found you through SmartHost and your setup is pretty interesting and good pricing.
Do you get Fiber or WWAN from ComNet (Independents Fiber) ? Looked like 25 fiber runs mentioned on the site, but within the trace is 'sec5-okol-towr-gw.wireless.bright.net' which is a ComNet subsidiary.
Is there any wireless / WWAN setup, or just outdated DNS? Is there any type of a redundant fiber run, and what are your VPS nodes running on CPU wise? Can you benchmark one of them?
Might find more VPS people like me who are looking for looking glass probes for Globalping, monitoring, latency probes for their own Anycast setup, etc. VPS sales seem to do quite well here, just an idea. (probably picking one up today)
No WWAN. We get our Fiber line in through ComNet, out in the boonies where we are located only one company per geographic area owns the fiber runs. Probably outdated DNS on the hops from ComNet.
We have redundant runs, one north to Toledo and one West through Van Wert. Once we light our next line up we're planning on heading straight south, probably pull in HE at that point for our north line and do some re-routing internally, HE's closest is in Cleveland from what my rep told me.
