Please PM me, looking for a config with 960GB SSD, SFP+, 128G, and 7950X3D,
Have you tried plugging in 48 GB RAM modules?
For example:
CP2K48G56C46U5
CMK96GX5M2B5200C38
Although they are not officially supported by Supermicro, if the BIOS is AGESA 1.0.0.7 they should be compatible. At least on AMD's part, compatibility is added in that BIOS.
Maybe Supermicro doesn't make it official, but they do work in practice...
I appreciate if you can test it.
Thank you.
Aw the 48GB DIMMs. Been asked about these everyday for the past 2 weeks. Hahaha. I finally got an answer late yesterday.
Unofficially, the 48GB non-ECC Unbuffered DIMMs will work with the Supermicro MicroClouds. Supermicro has not received any 48GB ECC Unbuffered DIMMs to validate 48GB ECC UDIMMs... we suspect they will work just fine, but Supermicro will not have true validation until Dec or January on the 48GB ECC UDIMM. They are not even going to receive the ECC UDIMMs until end of Nov... right now you are stuck with non-ECC 48GB DIMMs, which will work but applications can crash since no ECC...
Hope that helps!
I see that there are already distributors with the MTC20F208XS1RC48BR unit in stock. I guess we will see a compatibility validation soon. Thanks for the info!
MTC20F208XS1RC48BR is ECC Registered and would not work. Just to keep everyone updated.

About time supermicro jumps into the Ryzen market.
The 8node system looks great!
You made me check the site. They also sell a 1U now

Sad its only 1G network and $400 more than the asrock comparable. They missed the mark with this one
Appreciate your time a moment ago. Small world... you are 10-15 minutes from us! Stop by anytime. The microclouds come out to comparable pricing as the ASRock 1U and you can add 10GbE MicroLP (which is about a $30 upgrade per node). Overall you save on Colo costs and power costs with the 3U microcloud. And nothing against ASRock... but their BMC bounces and quality is just not comparable to Supermicro.
My personal opinion is the MicroClouds are best bang for buck$. Comparable price, lower power cost, lower colo cost, better quality. I am a huge fan as you can tell. Hahaha.
Also agree 100%... Supermicro should have made the 1U with built in 10GbE... hell the MicroCloud too for that matter...
Perhaps, but I am counting there from the top of my head that the margins are 50%+.
I am sure this is new for them and want to take a wide margin, but it still looks quite much, I would wait for prices to decrease.
