I’m seeing downtime of a couple of minutes every day on Hetrix, even just pinging the looking glass / test IP for Strasbourg. Is there some ongoing intermittent network issue?
Hi @darkimmortal — Regarding the looking glass/test IP – it's worth mentioning that our looking glass has built-in throttling mechanisms to prevent abuse. So, if you're constantly pinging it etc, the data you are seeing might not accurately represent real-world network performance.
If you are experiencing any service interruptions on your Strasbourg VPS, please email me at [email protected] with the details and I will take a closer look. Please also double check on ping.pe (which is a site that can ping your VPS IP globally from multiple dozens of locations) to see if you notice any packet loss from remote locations.
I will keep an eye out and raise a ticket with more details if I can get them, but I’m leaning towards a network issue based on Hetrix detecting both my VPS and the test IP going down simultaneously
