Hetzner VDS Feedback

Hey Guys

has anyone use Hetzner VDS before used there standard cloud server, what is the performance like on there VDS compared to normal cloud server , guessing there quite oversold?

anyone got one they could do a yabs on?

While I haven't used the VDS before I just don't see it being good value. I've not had a bad experience with their normal servers, never experienced CPU steal or network issue and it always benched as expected. You can pretty much blast their cloud servers 24/7 without being limited. I'm pretty sure the hardware is identical.

we have differnt outcomes were using the cloud servers for a few things we wanted to keep out of our normal dc and it seem half decent but were quickly outgrowing there cloud servers "CPU Spiking quite a lot" so been looking at maybe there VDS before we look at grabbing a dedi or building a server

If you're outgrowing the cloud servers you should grab their dedicated servers, not a VDS. In most cases you'll get less performance at a higher cost with VDS.

It's just my opinion of course.

    I mean it always depends

It also depends on what you call a VDS

Avoro is great value, dedicated cores, they call them "vServer" though

But with Hetzner, yes, 100 % agree, normal line better value compared to dedicated line

I've benchmark them and they are very bad value.
Just get provider with Zen4 CPU if you need more power than normal Cloud line.

Back when i benchmarked it on February. The "regular" lineup performs better than the Dedicated one. It's 1 dedicated core (1 Core - 2 Threads), the single core performance was okay but the multi core performance was pretty bad.
