I can do this for you
At koding.com you get a very fast and free with full root access VPS, detailed specs are below.
Free powerful VPS for code testing:

Full disclosure, that is obviously an affiliate link,
I would get a whole 250mb of extra HDD space if you sign up with that link!
Details
It is a great testing environment. It is not suitable for production hosting, because the server goes to sleep 15 minutes after you log out.
Also, the free account is limited to 1.2gb in the home folder.
The rest of the specs are great.
Personally, I just SSH in and use VIM and the command line, but there is also
70gb of RAM
8 core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 0 @ 2.30GHz
Only 1.2 Gb of Hdd space though
Fast download speed: 9.28 MB/s

P.S. I know it looks spammy to have an affiliate link in my first post, but I really think this service could be a good solution for the OP - it is the most powerful free testing environment I have seen. I read the forum rules and I don't think the affiliate link breaks any, but let me know and I'll remove it.
But you are allocated only 64MB
do a free -m
It's showing almost 69gb for me
I'm assuming it is shared RAM, available to many users in bursts.
@jebber, that is 68867 Kilobyte of memory, not megabyte.
He did -m, which is mb

AWS has a free tier for their EC2 instances.
I recommend the following links: http://freevps.us/
http://www.yocats.com/
http://5jelly.com/vps/
http://members.host1free.com/vps?ac=h1f_register_vps
They're actually not as shit now!
yocats and 5jelly are scammers.
@inthecloudblog
3jelly/5jelly/yocats? Seriously? They are scam. Don't use em'.
Edit: I recommend freevps.us too. It's p2h forum, so happy posting
Odd mate. I've done a google search to help the OP and I found that they had been positioned in the first page after searching for "free vps". Why don't you just report them ( to someone like.. Google (?)) ?

Are these guys legit too?
you have a point there
+1 on Host1Free. I currently use them and I'm happy with them. It's a basic VPS good for a testing environment and hosting 1 or 2 sites. Nothing for a large scale operation though, but great for testing things.
Yes they are. I ordered some, they worked great. Best night's sleep I ever had!
yea a vote for host1free they also on free vps server list free virtual private server
n-n-n-n-necro post
