    Details

    It is a great testing environment. It is not suitable for production hosting, because the server goes to sleep 15 minutes after you log out.

    Also, the free account is limited to 1.2gb in the home folder.

    The rest of the specs are great.

    Personally, I just SSH in and use VIM and the command line, but there is also

    • powerful browser based editor, similar to Sublime Text
    • Browser based SSH console
    • One click installers for various starter apps (Ruby on Rails, Django & More)

    P.S. I know it looks spammy to have an affiliate link in my first post, but I really think this service could be a good solution for the OP - it is the most powerful free testing environment I have seen.     It's showing almost 69gb for me

    I'm assuming it is shared RAM, available to many users in bursts.

    Odd mate. I've done a google search to help the OP and I found that they had been positioned in the first page after searching for "free vps". Why don't you just report them ( to someone like.. Google (?)) ?

    +1 on Host1Free. I currently use them and I'm happy with them. It's a basic VPS good for a testing environment and hosting 1 or 2 sites. Nothing for a large scale operation though, but great for testing things. :)
