What would they need to manage?
The service/hosting itself. It's for people who don't know how to manage servers and I don't have time for it
Yeah, sorry, I meant more in the terms of finding some company that does this, getting used to their way etc seems like much more hassle compared taking the five minutes to just install it
Backups etc you’d have to do anyway
Updates probably too (unless you’d want auto updates, but you could probably do that yourself very easily and quickly)
And if you really don’t have that kind of time, Google Drive? iCloud?
I really don’t want to come across as rude, my question in my first post was more like: Practically, what would you expect them to do for you?
I just checked Google Drive and I think I'll go with it, pricing is ridiculously cheap. Thanks
Np
Glad you could see some value in my reply even though it was a bit skeptical 😌
Say bye to all privacy If you go with GD...
We’re on the internet, privacy is but an illusion
But a persistent one
29e per YEAR for 200GB is unbeatable and you get the office suite etc
Economics of scale is up there with interest; wonders of the world
I send (although a very small amount) of transactional email from custom domains with iCloud, got temp email addresses, an iCloud address, notes, docs, all of if; pay like $0.5 a month
Although not a lot of storage, crazy cheap
Just for the custom domain emails; that’s a STEAL
OwnCloud fully managed:

But if you are after price nothing can beat google drive 😊
BTW @vitobotta you might remember me, I tried to hire you one year ago for your k8s skills 🤣
We can manage server and apps or alternatively you can use official:
